All my opinion. The city is a nod to modernity. In the city of ice, we’ve grown cold and continuing to grow. Burning cathedrals are burning down the sacred and replacing it with the new sacred “glass” sky scrapers. Fragility. Never throw stones if you live in a glass house. And this all points to a pride in how capable we all think we are with self sufficiency. This I think is at the heart of the whole sleep token project. It’s pointing to us waking up to our self constructed horror. Trying to turn away from god and finding it impossible.

Oh the quickness that I clicked on this!! Wow. I never thought about the hand being painted black… When Vessel walked into the water, then he was reborn as the Vessel we know him as today. Woah. You guys really opened my eyes to a bunch of different theories about this song/video. I never even contemplated it being a conversation. And the chills? Yep. Also please consider that within these individual songs that they can be speaking to each other. I hold the thought that vessle/sleep is his darker self and that there is an unnamed self/real self that is battling with vessle/sleep. Some refer to the real self as Euclid. I believe in this particular song they are speaking to each other in the music video. But you guys are doing great in breaking down everything! Love it!

There's no paint on him. This is him speaking to us truthfully. I feel like he was asking us to come on the rest of the journey with him. But having sleep begging for him to follow them and Vessel desperate for connection makes sense in the lore also.
