Aside from Forrest feeling a little ill, that video is hilarious to me. Not just Filipinas do this. My wife (Mexican) over 25 years has taken herself and the kids to a healer. I call them brujo or bruja (witches). Was never able to talk her out of it. But you are extremely lucky, finding and using a bruja in KY is quite pricey.

Thailand vs. Vietnam would be a more comparable version. Philippines is still decades behind neighboring countries. They are able to inflate the cost for rentals/hotels/dining out places because they speak English to a point. However, many foreigners aren't going there because food quality/tastes are limited outside of the touristy overpriced areas.

Admitted my 3-yr-old to the real hospital. Had a little fever and couldn’t keep anything down. He needed an IV put in for fluids and antibiotics. 3 days/2 nights cost about 300 USD. Would have been less had we not upgraded into the private room with aircon, or if we went to the provincial hospital instead of the private one. The co-pay alone at home probably would have been more.

In USA, I'm thinking the closest equivalent would be like a holistic doctor ? To become a holistic doctor. You need to complete a professional-level program at an accredited naturopathic medical school...additionally, Holistic doctors, like traditional doctors, can prescribe more than just medicines. They can prescribe certain kinds of medicines that are allowed by the state in which they practice. Sounds better than the Phillippine Quak Quak doctor to me...

It is amazing how all of a sudden, out of nowhere, something simple like this, can turn into a nice short yoochoob video! But while I was laughing, it reminded me of the old "Beverly HIllbillies" TV show from the 60s, specifically the episode where Granny has a "cold cure"! The fancy Beverly Hills Dr finds out about it, and wanting to get in on it and make money, he goes out to the mansion, and has a talk with Granny. She tells him it is nothing and she has had the cure for the common cold, for years. He is vastly intrigued, and Granny finally tells him the directions of her cold cure. She prepares a small drink of some kind of "medicine". She then tells the fancy Dr that after taking her one does of the "medicine", that the cold will be gone, in a matter of 7-10 days! I mean, how great of a cure is that!!! Of course, one could do nothing, and the average cold will still be gone in about 7-10 days! That was what made it so funny! So this video reminded me of that, whereas, Fatima takes little ForestG to this quack Dr, she rubs his tummy, and says he ate something bad, [hot dog], but he will be fine within a couple of days! Too funny!

The time it takes to digest a hot dog can vary depending on several factors, such as the individual’s metabolism, overall health, and the specific ingredients in the hot dog. On average, it takes about 24 to 72 hours for food to pass through the digestive system. However, hot dogs are generally processed meats that can take longer to digest due to their high fat and sodium content. It’s best to listen to your body and give it the time it needs to properly digest food.

husband listening in - keep some imodium on hand. Witch Dr. holds a powerful control over the Filipino people. For our lot on Vistamar Resort, my wife, college educated, lived in America for 47 years, still tells me what her mama told her about certain things. We had a witch Dr. come to ask the sprits of our lot to please allow us to live here. cost one poor chicken his life. One low point in her life where she was really depressed she came to the PH and spent an ungodly amount of pesos on Quack Dr.'s to help herself. You can not erase generations of beliefs no matter what you know. Grand ma is filling your wife's head with all her beliefs,

Maybe he has some kind of flatulence issue or indigestion? A quack doctor or traditional herbal doctor can only help minor health issues by doing the right massage using their herbal topical oil lotion. Massage is good for blood circulation. When it comes to serious health condition the quack doctor or traditional herbal doctor do not do injection, operate surgery or administer medication. They can only give advises on what to eat or drink, give you a good massage and some do pray using their dialect (it may sound weird or creepy) but they pray for your healing or recovery! :)
