Beef Mince Akhni with Slaai
Serves 4 - 6
This dish takes me back to the yesteryear of family gatherings where anyone was welcome and the skill of making a little goes far. My mother was of the belief to never turn anyone away at the door and she fed each one for sure.
I watched how she would make this specific dish, Beef mince akhni and add all the spices that would give the rice that depth of flavour. How wonderful it was to be taught all the tips from my elders, and as the years went past - especially when it came to rice - how versatile it can be. I added a few of my own touches and here is my recipe…Enjoy.
