I now Bootie Brown may not currently working with the rest of the Pharcyde, but until Bootie Brown decides to reunite, the remaining members could include WestCoast Alternate Hip-Hop artist Murs & Blu into the "Far Side" fold. "Far Side Blu Murs" album. The Far Side (aka Pharcyde)in 2023/2024: Fatlip, Imani, Slimkid3 and introducing Murs & Blu. Also, eventually we could have a Far Side Blu Murs VERSUZ Goodie Mob concert.

I'll admit, as a big fan of this group's first two albums, I never checked for any of their solo music. Just think they work better as a collective, not soloists. I remember when they put out an EP, Testing the Waters, I believe in '99. I called the number to order a CD, and Brown was on the phone. He gave me the shipping info. I sent my cash via money order, and about a week later l, I got it. Right then, I thought Brown was probably the responsible one-trying to sell the indy CD's, scheduling the club concerts, arranging the interviews, running the websites. Dude probably resents the hell out of the other three. I can't imagine Fat Lip doing any of that, and the other two seem too into themselves. Lol!

Its a shame these guys never reunited as a foursome. They would've been one of the all-time greats and carried hip-hop thru the shitty gangsta/club era. Heartbreaking to see that it's not "Imani, Booth Brown, FatLip and Slim Kid Trey" at the moment. Hopefully it can be reconciled. I was fortunate to see all four at Rock The Bells years ago, when the beef was with Lip. So the fact that SK3 and Fatlip are even talking gives me hope about Romye... Also, I remember from VERY early on, trying to hip cats to the fact that these dudes were really spitting. Even when the focus was more on them being "funny". Especially when LabCab hit. They could spit with the best lyricist in the game...

I love the Pharcyde. I've read a lot of interviews of their good times and bad times. They certainly display how a friendship/partnership can work and I salute them for always trying to make it through but being brutally honest. We don't get that truth nowadays.

In Bootie Brown’s defense, he didn’t steal it. The name was literally left for dead. Fatlip was removed first, then Tre left the group leaving Imani & Brown to do “whatever”. Those 2 put out an album as the pharcyde, but got very little love, so they flatlined. Years later, Imani wanted to patch things up with his brothers, resulting in the current outfit. All brown did was trademark the name when the others left. But the name truly belongs to all four of those dudes.
