Excellent video Albert and you are right. At first my eyes saw two images then as I relaxed my eyes one image became perfect.

Great review! I am flying with a 7" Eachine monitor and I would like to progress to goggles. A colleague would sell me his Dominator V3, which is in mint condition. Haven't tried them on, but will definitely try on before purchasing. Also, I will try to relax my eyes, when I try them.

Thank you so much. I just got mine and my heart sunk when I got the double image. I hope it works as well for me.

EXACTLY my issue! I just bought one of these goggles and two, even three images in front of my eyes. Weird! I´ll definitely follow your advices. Thank you

For starters, I didn’t realize you were so new to this...I’m equal parts impressed and annoyed I’m not further along with flying. I’m about to make the jump from box goggles and I don’t trust me to make that kind of decision. Right now, I’m leaning original Aomway or Dominator V3 Bundle (the customer service piece would be nice....), both come in at around $400 Canadian. Everything else (Skyzone 2, Falcons) starts nudging towards $500 (factoring in receivers or just higher price). Where are you leaning these days? Thanks

I would consider the Flysight Falcon's - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pn_cl6Nvdryhm9k

I used to try a friends ev100's and always had double image no matter what I did. Then one day I tried again and no more double image. I had the attitude v3 for a while and would some times get double image then like you say my eyes would relax and now I don't think I could ever go back to box goggles.
@gizmoamp6 жыл бұрын
This same "double vision" problem i had with Eachine E100s and i asked about it my friend whis is selling glasses and other optic stuff... he told me that is normal thing which is not noticeable in common but it can occur on this type goggles because some peoples eyes are not focused on the same spot when they looking straight on some object (is difficult for me to explain) - so to say one eye is looking (is focused) direct at that object and the another one is focused little bit to side (like cross-eyed but not that much). So what i did was to dissassembly my E100 and slightly turned one of the display/optics (there were some dremeling to the housing ofcourse...) because there are two separate optics which are not connected to each other as kopin optical modules. And the result was that now i can focus on them much better (faster) and have no double vission. Sorry for my english.
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
nice! good to see you aren't afraid to mod your gear.
@gizmoamp6 жыл бұрын
No with EV100 im not afraid... because they were useless for me with that "double vision" problem :). I also made few other mods like expanded the IPD to 72mm and made a eachine pro58 receiver "bay" (it is not a bay but pinholes glued from inside the googles with separate bec and connected internally to AV in...). The EV100 FOV (picture) is really small and now i want to get a new goggles but im also afraid that on other goggles will not be possible to mod if the double vision occurs again. I tried to find some FOV comparison and found that the dom V3 picture on comparison pictures look like stretched EV100 screens and also very small. Is it true?

great explanation. thanks. still on the fence here between v3 or much more expensive v2's. v3 sounds vry attractive
@AlbertKimTV8 жыл бұрын
+Phil Dawe Yeah, it's an expensive purchase so you gotta be sure before. If you have a friend that will let you borrow them and let you adjust it to your eyes then use it to fly for a day then you'll have a good idea which is better for you. It's all very subjective I think.
@phildawe71728 жыл бұрын
thanks +Albert Kim (marblekit) your vid was one of the best explanations ive seen. yeah that makes a lot of sense i dont have any local fpv friends yet : ( i may have to convert some :) perhaps i could check out a local club. ive been learning on a set of qanum v1's. happy flying
@moren0d18 жыл бұрын
Sure you got used to it. But your eyes will feel strained after using them for a while. A lot of people have this problem to include myself. The IPD adjustment range isn't big enough for some. As a result the image seems blurry. I mentioned this to Fatshark. They said they would make "note" of it.
@TheDarmach6 жыл бұрын
What goggles are you flying nowadays? I'm still using box goggles, and I'm afraid that fatsharks with lower fov will be less immersive. What do you think about that?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Still using the Fatshark DomV3 as the daily goggle. Also been using the Flysight Falcons here and there.

So what is the hdmi port for? Can you hook it up to a tv and watch recorded flight videos?

It's HDMI in. You can hook up a DVD player and watch a movie if you want...

Hey Albert! I know this is an old video, but can you tell me how i could tell if i need the diopter inserts ? When i put these Goggles on i don't get two images. But after using them for about 15 minutes and then taking them off i feel kind of weird, like my eyes are strained or something. I'm nearsighted but the image in the goggle seems crystal clear to me, but maybe im assuming wrongly here ?
@AlbertKimTV5 жыл бұрын
The eye strain is normal and a lot of people experience it. I still do if I use the googles for an extended period of time. The diopters are only needed if you can't focus.

about you distance perception.....what is your FOV on your camera? maybe try a different FOV.
@AlbertKimTV8 жыл бұрын
+Chi Sty I actually did switch my FOV on my cameras from a wide angle to a more traditional FOV of about 90 degrees (HS1177). This made no difference when flying with the monitor. I have since flown with the FatSharks and I'm much more confident in where object are. You'll probably notice an improvement in my flight videos right away.

Thanks for this honest and informative video going to invest in some fat sharks but was very afraid I was wasting my money only to be disappointed Going to take the plunge and do it.

Just got one of these. I have never tried fatsharks before and I was so dissapointed with Image, everything blurry, especialy on the edges, and I see some glass refractions up, down left and right. It looks like there is some transparent folio on it. I thought I have bad copy and planned to return them. But now that I saw your video. I will give them second chance.

hi, I just got a set of these and I am struggling to get a good picture, one eye seems to be out of focus the edges are blurry, when setting the IPD do I close one eye and tune the ipd of the open eye? and then do the same for the other side?
@AlbertKimTV8 жыл бұрын
+MMX2 I set the IPD with both eyes open. First make sure the goggles are on straight on your face. When I first tried adjusting I kept seeing a blurry double image but after I let my eyes relax the images came together and everything was sharp. I think you need to train your brain to focus out at a distance rather than up close which would seem appropriate. Its counter intuitive
@ronangsr8 жыл бұрын
Albert Kim thanks for the reply. My problem is the corners seem to streak blurry.. will try again and see
@ronangsr8 жыл бұрын
Albert Kim hi. Tried again last night with no avail. Can you check something for me. With goggles on if you move them up and down left and right do the sides of image go blurry? On mine it seems in the centre of the lens its clear but jf its not exaxtly centre the screen appears to streak

I just started using my FS Attitudes V2, (had them for a year) and I'm having a ton of fun, after putting in the diopters and a fan. My image is not crystal clear but it's just so cool to FPV it doesn't bother me. I'm curious as to what camera you have on your quad that's giving you such a good image?
@AlbertKimTV8 жыл бұрын
+edthecarpenter I use the RunCam Swift.

Having used the EV800, how do you think these compare with them? I'm really considering buying FatSharks either the Attitude v3 or the Dom V3s. Will I be getting a much better experience?
@AlbertKimTV8 жыл бұрын
Goggle experience is highly subjective so I can't say you'll feel they are better or not. My suggestion is to try them out first before buying.
