FAU Hercules KC-130 Landing at King George (SCRM), Antarctica

The approach and landing sequence filmed on the flight from Punta Arenas (SCCI) to King George Island (SCRM) on February 19, 2024.
The flight was intended to transport researchers from Uruguayan Antarctic stations back to Uruguay. Uruguay collaborated with Spain in transporting a team of Spanish scientists (I was part of that team!) from Punta Arenas on their way to King George Island. As I love aviation, I started talking to the flight crew, and they kindly invited me to watch the landing from the cockpit, which was mind-blowing. One of the best experiences ever - I hope you also enjoy watching it!
The plane was the Uruguayan Air Force Hercules KC-130 (FAU 549), a former cargo plane sold by Spain to Uruguay in 2020.
I increased the saturation so the exterior is better visible.
