Fault exploration (Nissan Micra k11)

I have micra k11 limp mode issue wnt pick up speed more than 50mph no engine light is showing what is the issue any advice would be appreciated thanks

Hi! Mine 1.4 litre drove well on low revs, but hesitated in high revs at full throttle. I figured that ecu manage fuel mixture with o2 sensor on half throttle, however it use maf sensor only at full throttle. With disconnected maf engine reved happily again. Then I connect new maf. It works now. Oh, i forgot to mention a foult code. Sadly, a dont know the exact code, but it meant "mixture to lean".

Ah okay that’s good to know it’s happened on other engines other than cg10 engines 🙂. I’ve now changed the maf sensor (didn’t film it 🙄 because I’m a donut lol) and all seems okay. I didn’t check for any codes but will do if it occurs again thank you 😊

Mine not revving properly and throwing up EML occasionally with code P0171 . (Too lean) maybe MAF is problem. I also have SRS light and no horn, did you sort those on yours?

Sounds to me like MAF. Changed it and runs perfect now. No still haven’t sorted SRS or horn. Will be soon

In my opinion you don't have to change maf sensor - just clean it. I did it in my micra 1.4 /2001/ using maf sensor cleaner and that was good enough - watch scotty kilmer films. Don't forget to change air filter!

Sorry bud been so busy hadn’t seen your message, I have but you need the old style obd rather than obd2 for any car before 2001 after that it’s obd2. Cleared the maf code when I replaced the maf sensor

Hi, can you help me. I had a mechanic change the powder of the N-CVT clutch and all is fine with that, but the Transmission does not want to change gears now, its acts like is stuck in 1st gear, it only drive to 20 mph at 3000 rpm's. Previously when I had serviced the transmission itself this did happen as well but then that other mechanic fixed it. Any ideas?

@@RCCAdventures Oh, yes, now the oil has to be changed. Oil Pan drips' a bit and at idle/idle stopped, the rpm's are a bit low. Like trying to die, but it does not. Let me know what might be causing the low idle at stopped position. Thanks. PS. By the way, one of the mechanics that worked on it , He weights like 120 kg. not sure what is that in lbs. but he is a big fat guy, and he said Boy this car pulls and rides great for a 1.3L Petrol engine that is 29 years old exactly. How funny is that. Lastly, Nissan Micra has a saloon/interior Air Filter. I have changed it several times.

Ahh okay sound like will need a sump gasket. Could be the throttle body needs a clean. Could try some injector cleaner as well and change the fuel filter. Oh blimey haha that is funny

Hello, I have a Nissan Micra 1999, the faults are, there is no electric spark that enters the spark plugs, and all the engineers in the device did not know the reason, according to the fuel pump. The car is completely electric, but the spark plugs do not receive electricity, and the percentage of the spark distributor is perfect.

Could be your HT leads going to the spark plugs

MAF sensors are the among the last things you dnt want it to be broken in a car. They are expensive and sometime a pain in the ass to find another one!!

Hi, where is the lambda 02 sensor? I have fault code P0171 - System too lean bank 1

It’s on your manifold going into the cat or can be on the down pipe below the manifold

Afraid not not anywhere near Micky. If you look at the front of the engine, at the exhaust manifold, the o2 sensor is sitting right there. Nice and easy to get to and you can replace it yourself easily. What I would do first is unplug the connector and give it a clean. Sometimes throws up codes when dirty. If that doesn’t work then just replace the o2 sensor 🙂 hope this helps
