FAULT FINDING OIL PUMP STEM

Could you please describe how the oil stem is meant to work - mine looks stuck out , and I removed power to the pump motor and turned power on - silly very silly - but heard the click from the solenoid but what should have happened to the stem move in ?? So does it stop oil flow to nozzle ?

Stripping the pump our as far as that? It's new pump time so don't worry about replacing the solenoid valve stem.

How come the burner didn’t stay alight after the photo cell was removed please?

Photo cell has to see a flame, or burner puts ignition back on and shuts down if no flame established

Riello g5x burner that's starting up then try's to keep a light but then goes off while the fan still running it try's doing the same again but it doesn't go to lock out. Any ideas photo cell?
