Thank you for that great reaction. I loved watching it. Faun is a german band but they perform a lot of songs in other languages as well. This song is sung in hungarian, the melody is based on some old greek music. The instrument you were talking about is called a nyckelharpa - it's a swedish instrument and a lot of artists use it for that kind of music. If you want to listen to more Faun you can check out these songs: Tinta (live from Castle Fest), Wainamoinen, Baldur (live from Castle Fest). Greetings from Germany :)

You have to check more of Faun; they are great! Here a couple of songs: Unda, Tinta, Wind und Geige, Halloween, Tamlin, Hymn to Pan, Galdra, Odin, Walpurgisnacht, Hymne der Nacht, Neun Welten and more. It's very difficult to recommend just a few songs.

Still think you would like Galdra by them. You might also like Anoana by Heilung…if you haven’t gone there already. Faun also did Walpurgisnacht, and Halloween…which I would also recommend. Enjoy!

So I missed your reaction on Nightwish and Faun today. Faun is so amazing and German of course - my favorite band on this kind of music. Seen them years ago on a concert in Berlin before they got known outside Germany - absolutely love this band.- search for their live performance of Egil Saga here on KZbin

I've listening to Faun for several years now. An AMAZING collective. I might suggest listening to anything by Wardruna and Heliung...especially "Anoana"

Sometimes I get the feeling these guys are like an Arabic band…yet again; not. I guess music really is a universal language.
