Thank you, I enjoyed your reaction. The first band in the music video is the German band Faun. Faun is a German pagan folk group from Gräfelfing near Munich. The second band in the video is Eluveitie, a Swiss folk metal band from Winterthur, Switzerland Gwdion is a wizard from the Celtic mythology of Wales. Faun is the german part of this "Co-work" (the girls and the instrumental part with the hurdy gurdy). Faun has a lot of great songs. For example you will not regret the Song "Federkleid" from them...

You're so right- the way back to the roots is the way forward. I love this song for the first time I heard it an though FAUN are never played in German mainstream radio, I have the impression, that more and more people are going to listen to them. If you' d like to check out some more of their songs I'd recommend "Odin" with Einar Selvik, "Galdra" ; they even have an older song called "Alba"😉 Thanks for your reaction!

The girls from Faun sang in German but The lead singer Christian Glanzmann was actually singing in Welsh quoting from the Book of Taliesin

As for Faun, I would recommend to check out another collab of theirs: "Odin" with the great viking Einar Selvik. Faun alone, maybe "Feuer" or "Sieben Raben" or their greatest "hit" on youtube: "Federkleid".

Eluveitie is read Helvetie, the ancient name for Switzerland. They also have a clean singer, Fabienne Erni, a hurdy-gurdy, violin and a bagpipe players. Try their newest single, Aidus or the usual first reaction, Rebirth.

The first band was German Neo-Pagan-Folk band Faun singing in German. The second, heavy part was Celtic Folk Metal band Eluveitie from Switzerland. Chrigel, the male vocalist of Eluveitie sang his part in Welsh as Gwydion is a wizard from Welsh mythology. Only four members of Eluveitie (actally 9 members in the band) were part of this colab as the traditional instruments were already covered by Faun. Also their female vocalist, Fabienne Erni who sings all the clean parts in Eluveities songs, did not take part here. Eluveitie usually uses a lot of traditional instruments (hurdy gurdy, bagpipe, fiddle, bodhran, tin whistle and low whistle) for their music but combine them with modern instruments like guitar, bass guitar and drums to get the powerful Celtic Folk Metal (actually a combination of Celtic Folk and Death Metal). Usually Eluveities songs are about ancient Celtic history and culture from over 2.000 years ago. They even produced two albums were the lyrics are all sung in Gaulish, the extinct but reconstructed language of the Celtic tribes in continental Europe.

Eluveitie - El-Vei-Tee ... you really need to check out Eluveitie (Rebirth/Aidus/The Call of the mountains is great videos for a start) They sing mostly in ancient Ghaulish. Their name comes from Heluveitie (Swiss celtic tribes from the pre-viking era)
