Reinforce the steering box mount on the frame, then slap a 12" Superlift lift kit on it and a 3 inch bodylift. With a 35 spline 1 ton axle you can run some 44 inch Super Swampers on it!!!

It's mock up, not final assembly. It would still make sense to clean it before mock up but its their build let them do it their way

Mock up complete yet never addressed the fix for stress crack of frame with reinforcement plate where steering mounts to frame as is a well known issue. If not addressed now it will be later after the carnage and tow bill if not totaled.

Also, those frames are typically weak around the steering box so you may want to add reinforcement there..

In my opinion, the 700r4 transmission has got to be the worst automatic GM ever made. I have cooked or blew up every single one I have ever owned, in both stock form and 2 supposedly built TCI performance versions.

Especially for this aplication. The big block moving the big tires will kill that 700r4 when it is put to work on some serious off road use. My TCI transmissions did great till I actually put them to some hard work , they didnt hold up even the 400 turbo

So you're going to do all the work of tearing down the chassis of the truck, and not even bother to pressure wash the frame, let alone powder coat or re-paint it, before slapping all the fancy SkyJacker suspension stuff and new axles on. Really?
