I So Luv your videos, I have learned so much! I have 3 orchids now, just ordered 2 more, I am now officially addicted to orchids! My hubby is so sweet, he will go to the flower shops with me to help me find the pots and mediums I need for my orchids. I think he loves them as much as I do! Can I use Spanish moss with bark for medium for some of my orchids?

I’d love to see more of the splash petal Cattleyas, they are so stunning. Also, who doesn’t love a plant that blooms several times a year, it gets a bit boring waiting a whole year to see a nice showing of blooms. You also made a good point about having plants that you don’t particularly enjoy or that rarely bloom for you. I have a few and I think they will get tied to a tree or something, if they survive, ok, if not, nothing lost. Thanks for sharing your beautiful plants with us.

Taking notes! I have just a little bit of space and I need to grow my orchids indoors and share that space with my other plants. So I’m taking notes of minis and household temperature bloomers! This video is so helpful. Thank you so much. I love all your orchids tho! Suggestion, can you make a video of your favorite Brassias or intergeneric? I know they’re not mini, but I’m willing to make 1 size exception 😁. I think the brassias have such wild patterns and I love them. Again, thank you so much.

Beautiful! 😍😍😍 I like your collection a lot, no wonder I have most of the plants from the video 😅 By the way, you may find this interesting, I recently found out that almost all brassavola cuculata on the market in the past 50 years including their hybrids were actually mislabeled and almost all cuculata are actually apendiculata. It seems it was a worldwide mistake in nomenclature 🤷

I purchased a "Dick Smith Paradise" cattleya earlier this year - I think around May. It had three gorgeous, fragrant blooms (that were here then gone much too quick!). It grew a new pseudobulb over the summer and just this week, from two older bulbs, its bloomed four more flowers. I am absolutely tickled. I hope it will bloom this frequently in the future (every 5-6 months??) I need to watch your care video for these, however, as I'm worried this is going to need repotting. The new growth, in particular, is sending out a ton of roots.

@@aayesha2527 sorry, i should have mentioned I'm in the UK and temperatures in winter can go down to -15'c occasionally, although it's most often 2-5'c in winter during the daytime. I keep mine in an unheated lean-to conservatory , if it gets very cold, I bring them into the house. At the minute the daytime temps are around 12-16'c and nigh time down to 5'c , so they are still outside with my cymbidiums, but they will be brought in before November

As Dani predicted in many of her videos, about beginners switching from Phals to other types of orchids. I too recently began to steer away from Phals. Last week I purchased a very cute mini cattleya named Little GoldFish. She had 3 plump unopened bulbs. Label said she needs bright light. I placed her in the top shelf of my Milsbob with Barrinas coming on at scheduled intervals during the day. All my other plants on this level are doing fine. There’s an eastern window right behind my Milsbo but it has a sheer white curtain to diffuse the light. 2 days ago all her bulbs went yellow and her flower spike got yellow too. Then everything started to shrivel. I’m very upset because I think that this plant was mislabeled according to its light needs. I am considering returning it for a refund. It wasn’t cheap. Is there anyone here that has that particular cattleya, and can offer any growing advice? About lighting needs? Or yellow flower spikes? Will this orchid be ok if I keep it (in a darker setting)? Or should I return it? Any tips are appreciated. Sorry for the long post.
