You’re so so so right, it would be so good and convenient if ALL companies made all the shade names/numbers the same. I think they should name them too, not just use numbers. Have the same name for all of them and then mention if it’s cool, warm or neutral! Brilliant idea! Should be the same across the board for high end, luxury and drug store! Or at least the same for drugstore companies, same for lux companies and same for “high end”. You’re also right that they would make sooo many more sales, because people wouldn’t be so hesitant to switch from a product/company they already know they love, because then they could easily try different brands and not have to worry about shade matching. Can’t get over what a great idea that is!

I’ve found that I enjoy using a brush far more than a sponge to apply my foundation. My summer favorite is the NARS sheer glow. The shade match is amazing and it melts/looks like skin.

Loved the video. Please do you face foundation brush faves. I LOVE the Physicians Formula, “The Healthy Foundation”, because the color works soooo perfectly for me and it looks beautiful. I am very fair and the shade I use is, “LC1”. It’s pretty glowy, but not tooo much, just makes you look healthy and NO CAKE FACE!

Tried the NYX born to glow. Saw another review that said it was good for oily combo skin, but it was oddly gritty on my skin. I got a bad color match too. Been dying to try the elf one. I may need to order 3 dif shades, to be sure. All my CVS and targets don't have my exact shade. I think my under tones are similar to yours, just a shade or two lighter.

For a pressed foundation powder all I do is put a good dewy primer on and take a flat spong and pack it on my face then go back a blend better with a powder brush but the sponge helps with getting extra product for coverage I do this when I dont want a full face of makeup but that's my combinations the dewy primers like rare beauty illuminating primer or Becca Backlight priming filter face primer one with those similar effects make a difference with pressed foundation powders

And if I do I don’t wear it as long if I don’t need too. Keeping makeup brushes clean is very important since they do hold a lot of bacteria. :) hope this helps ❤️❤️
