Yes that's it! Loved that show wanted to learn more about the inspirations and it was so different than expected from what I had read about TP but in the best way. Crazy how things are connected like that- thinking about finding Xiu Xiu through their TP-reimagined project. Have to say I was listening to Yeezus the other day and that is crazy. Also have soft spots for 808's and such. Liked Ye but not my top! What are you feeling?

I liked Ye, very personal and vulgar without being opaque about his emotions. Sometimes I like when artists completely reveal their personal lives in records and sometimes I don’t think it work, but in his case it always comes through. I always will like some of MBDTF which has some excellent tracks but the whole thing isn’t compelling enough for it to be at the top. My favourite would probably still be either College Dropout or Late Registration due to its jazzy elements. Side note, I enjoyed Kids see ghosts but was quite blown away. I think it was a record that was like cubism in art, it was so different and experimental and almost unnatural that some people hated the change, whilst other (eg theneedledrop who gave it a 10) who saw the change and were attracted to something new. For someone like Cudi who has previously been trash it brought out perhaps the best alternative and twisted sides of both artists.

If you're shopping Japanese designers of course go direct through Japan (yahoo.jp fromjapan buyee etc). Would say for others as well but prices on Raf HL and all that are crazy there too now. You can try to sift through second hand luxury fashion sites like 1st Dibs or The Real Real. Otherwise hunt down some smaller online boutiques similar to what Vaniitas is doing! Use keywords like archival, avant garde, tabi, etc (lol). Good luck!
