I never thought of mushrooms having medicinal qualities before. It sounds really interesting so I think it’s time for more investigation. Tfs ☺️ 🍄

Lovely video! Thank you. The river cottage book is called “no. 1” because it’s the first of a series of handbooks. I have the one on fermentation and it’s really great too!

Entangled Life is amazing. I also have Mycophilia by Eugenia Bone to read that's a nonfiction more on the foraging/cooking side of things. I haven't got any mushroom guides yet so this was helpful!

Uploaded the day after I realized I'd like to get into mushrooms. Already ordered a field guide, but I'll check this list out.

I so enjoy your channel and video content I cannot get enough. Thank you so much for sharing the lovely collection of books. I have yet to read it, but just picked up a book called “The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins” which sounds like it will be pretty interesting 🍄

I use the Macdonald guide to Mushrooms and Toadstools for field work, and Roger Philips at home. The trouble is, no mushroom guide is perfect. That said, the new guides by Geoffrey Kibby are great.

You probably needed to reference peer reviewed research. Those books are enjoyable but not Uni assignment material. My children and I are fascinated by mushrooms too. We are currently trying to grow some, however, they haven’t fruited yet. It’s probably too cold here. Thanks for showing us your interesting books.

Do you know what the tropical plant is called beside you on the table that has two different types of leaves? I forgot what they are called and I lost one in a freeze recently and want to replace it. They are so pretty.
