That's one of the best single passes in NFL history Favre at 40 with 10sec left down 4 under pressure buying time in the pocket takes a hit upon release puts this ball on an absolute rope 45+yds to the backline where only his guy who is covered well could catch it and stay in bounds. Absolutely amazing and a great example of Brett Favre extending the play toughness and the absolute howitzer he has of an arm

Man... Rice, Harvin, Berrian, and Shiancoe for receivers; Peterson and Taylor for a running back tandem; freaking Favre... This team was a thing of beauty. No, they weren't the best. But they were pretty damn good. And SO fun to watch.

@@v0LkEN88 Favre was one of the reasons they lost the NFC Champ game but AP fumbled twice, Percy Harvin also fumble and I don't remember who else gave the ball away. They turned the ball over 5 times in that game, 3 in the red zone.

They actually were the best team of the '09 season, doubled the yardage of the eventual NFC Champion Saints in their title bout. Took six fumbles in said game to defeat them, a crazy statistical outlier, on top of the famous interception to end regulation.

I was actually at this game it was my first sporting event ever I was 4 years old and my parents took me to this game my dad is a Vikings fan and my mom is a 49ers fan so in a way this game decided who I would cheer for and Minnesota won and I’ve been a Vikings fan ever since

Remember after the nfc championship game or bountygate!! His body was just covered in black and blues! He was one tough player who really put on a show for the fans wheather you liked the team he was on or not! Was hoping he had one more chance at a superbo wl . I know he had a problem with pills but look what the guy went thru! Always put on a great show !!

stay long enough, there will be more. I have been a fan since the mid 80s and omg the let downs, the highs and lows of this franchise is insane. Never bad enough to get the first pick overall, but never good enough to get a SB appearance. So it's the wort feeling as a fan. HOPE is the worst feeling and every year there is hope only to end in disappointment.

I agree. There’s plenty of quarterbacks that you would take over Favre with 2 mins and 2 timeouts and 80 yards to go, but in this situations like this with 1:20 and no timeouts and 80 yards to go, I’m taking Brett the whole time.

Their are certain plays that give me goose bumps by the Vikings. The Minneapolis Miracle, Ahmad Rashad catch in 1980 vs Cleveland and that play. He had to catch that pass with no room for error

Vikings haven't won the big game, but I stand by my opinion that they provide their fans more joy on average than any other team. They are consistently competitive and their games are always interesting. 2022 was by far the most fun fan experience with so many close games and epic come back victories... As much as I'd love to see them win the super bowl, I'd rather have a consistently competitive team year after year than a team who is good for one or two seasons and then struggles for many years in between. SKOL Vikes!

Ahh the memories! I was sitting in traffic in Mpls and cars erupted in massive honking and blinking lights. It was really the last good season the Vikes had. Totally could have won it all that year. The championship game was a travesty.

I was at this game. This was one of the two most stadium shaking plays I have ever witnessed. The other play was the "Endy Chavez catch" in Shea Stadium in 2006 NLCS game 7. Check that out on youtube. It would have been a more well known catch if the Mets won that game. Both of those plays had their stadiums shaking so much I was worried it would collapse.
