I never had Palusami till the late 90s. My Samoan BF Masui Allen family's one. Then he moved to Cali. Back in 2018 I went to Cali to visit him. He was dying of cancer. For the 3 days I was there visiting, Palusami was all i ate. Been thinking about him lately. And craving his family's Palusami. 😞 I don't want to bother them. So I've been looking for a recipe that looks identical to their's. I think I've found it. Thank you, I appreciate this video. Can't wait to make it sometime this week. Mahalo 🤙🏽

Is there a reason why you put the filling on the underside of the taro leaves? My mom is from American Samoa, and was curious why you were using that side compared to the top of the taro leaf.
