Bloody great! Just rebuilt my carbs astonished at how much debris these carbs will tolerate and still let the bike run. Many thanks for the video and yes replaced the boots kept the old ones just in case.

@@yamaar1rider not wrong there mate I have my trusty old Honda ntv and the chopped 500 virago for more smiles this year. The fazer btw had clogged fuel filter and pump the tank also had Technicolor poo in it bike had been stood for only a couple of years the e10 had done its best to kill the bike. Ride safe.

Great vid mate. Got a 1998 FZS600 and I want to fit pod filters. Can You tell me what size the carb intake is where you would attach a pod filter?

Bit of advice, mate, don’t bother. You’ll end up spending days taping them up to get the correct airflow. You’ll really struggle to get the mixture right, you’ll be running extremely lean.

@@RokasSileika hi, I've never needed to bleed the coolant after removing the carbs and I've had them off numerous times, just keep a eye on the level when you first start it up and the first rides 👍

@@yamaar1rider I have a problem not all cylinders are working when engine is cold, no changes if I leave the chocke- sometimes it helps, but rpms get high. Im thinking about float adjustments maybe it would help?

Hi, i buy same bike this spring and made some service for it, now i have major problem because when i start motor it stall instantly if i dont give little thorttle, same time it starts leaking gasoline from inlet/outlet hose, now i'm confused that shold those hose are closed some where or been freely? Hi, I can't understand everything you are saying but I think you need to fix any leaks first. If one or more cylinders aren't firing correctly then excess fuel will come through the exhaust along with a smell but if it's carb related then a stuck float or blocked carb will make you try and rev it on the throttle to keep it going with less than four cylinders running. The plugs need to be dry and fireing the first check to do. Then if you have wet the plugs trying to start it try this, choke off throttle wide open turn over for five seconds then leave the throttle alone put the choke on and let it run on its own if it starts even if it's not running on all cylinders it may take 5 minutes for the other cylinders to come in, if they don't switch off leave the bike overnight or a couple of days as the new petrol in the carbs should melt the gummed up old fuel try the same procedure again remember not to touch the throttle at all, this is all irrelevant if you don't fix any leaking pipes first. Your last course if the electrics are all ok and you don't have any air leaks is to remove and thoroughly clean out the carbs. Hope you get it sorted as you have a nice riding bike when fixed. Are these carbs similar to fzs1000? I have a performance issue around 6k rpm and will do jets cleaning

Hi, I guess if they are pre fuel injection then yes, they are probably the same as my R1 2001 carbs which are pretty much identical design 👍

I put this kit in while apart and cleaning it's well worth it as the float bowl rubber gaskets go hard and leak, get the right sets for yours as they could vary slightly 👍

i have a issue with my fazer 600, that cylinder 1 ( the left most one ) is not getting warm, i have checked if i got spark with the spark plug ( held the ignition wire with a sparkplug attatched to the chassis ) and i got a spark, when i removed the carb i noticed that the rubber manifold connecting to the cylinders, was wet with fuel, whereas the other 3 that where running, was dry so my guess is that my cylinder is not burning the fule ? not igniting correctly.. could this be a coil issue ? although i do have spark ?

Was the plug you tried a different one to the one in the cylinder ?

no i tried the exact plug that was in the cylinder, i also switched that plug with one from a cylinder that is running@@yamaar1rider

so its defenetly not the plug, since fuel is in the intake rubber area i feel like its also not the carb cause its obv providing gasoline

@@oOWaschBaerOo hmm think I would do a compression test to rule out engine mechanical parts IE pistons rings valves gaskets. The coil packs rarely fail if like the R1 and even if it's sparking it doesn't necessarily mean they haven't. I would still go for the carb again as even if the inlet is wet it doesn't mean it's atomising properly. Air leaks on that cylinders carb from splits in rubber or seating problems it normally is the carb in the long run though. Good luck buddy 👍

ok im gona check compression and then test the coils, and if it aint it then i guess i have to disassemble the whole carb and clean it, it happened after the bike was standing for several months after a minor crash ( lost traction and fell to the right side in a cuurve, slid over the concrete for 2m, at lower speeds)@@yamaar1rider im kinda hoping its the carbs or something easy, as its thleft most cylinder that never even came close to the ground
