Any stamped AK, no matter how great the manufacturer, will always have some rifles where every rivet will not be perfect. There will always have a couple rifles that may have a couple rivets that aren’t perfect. That’s the reality.That’s why if I was going to spend over 1500 dollars for a stamped AK, I would just spend 200 extra dollars and buy another Sam7. No reason why I would spend close to what I did for my milled Sam7 on a stamped AK. Now that being said, the fb beryl is absolutely beautiful and I honestly would love to have it in my collection. It would be hard to decide between the two but since I already have a Sam, I may go with the beryl, but…. Nah I would buy another Sam7 probably. I’m honestly torn between the 7.62x39 Beryl versus the 5.56. On one hand it would be nice to have the Polish military 5.56 service rifle, and having a domestic caliber AK might prove advantageous down the line. On the other hand I would have to buy a whole new type of magazine and I don’t get the warm fuzzies until I have at least 30 mags (probably excessive but I don’t want to be wishing I had more when they aren’t available anymore). So that’d require significant investment in stocking up on a whole new type of mag. I have oodles of 7.62x39 mags, many of which are unissued Polish surplus. Decisions, decisions. Good vid.
@BNatoAk2 жыл бұрын
The wbp 30 round 556 mags were literally going for 13 bucks. They run perfectly in a Beryl. AC unity mags are not much more and also run successfully. The 556 (real deal) Beryl is a modern day collectable while the 7.62 ...not so much
@cajuncatfish5417 Жыл бұрын
@Strelok Stalker Almost two years later, I do have a 5.56 Beryl as well, and plenty of mags. My reasoning for wanting that many mags has nothing to do with combat fantasies and everything to do with the fact that from 1994-2004, you could not buy standard capacity magazines for these types of rifles. I like to shoot. Mags wear out, they break, they get lost, whatever. They are expendable. I just want to make sure I have enough to last a lifetime of range use in addition to the cool guy stuff. As far as I know, there are no factory OEM, vetted, reliable 10 round 5.56 Beryl mags. It's been proven with 9mm Glocks that the ban-compliant G17/G19 mags are not as reliable as the standard capacity ones. It has nothing to do with some fantasy war scenario, as I have no expectation or intention of getting involved in one.

As Polish and gun lover - some infos. First - so called FB Radom (Fabryka Broni - Weapon Factory from city named - Radom) today has NOTHING COMMON with former FB (11) sign/ brand. This is a totally new business raised on ruined in late 90's former FB Radom - consuming its fame&history. This does not mean - its worse, but in some aspect of R&D may be. It is a part of corporate held by goverment. Just different approach in peace time. WBP is private hold gun factory with very modern machinery park, technology and staff. WBP uses in AK built most their own parts, only barrels are (they say) from FB Radom, but I am personally not sure, when I get my WBP 10 inch Lynx with no chrome - lined barrel - very good indeed, but surely not from FB, where they chrome - line all. I have also an AKMS built by one of best Polish weaponery master - based in 100% on former FB parts, I used also AKs from 60/ 70's. What can I say? There are no significent differences in all of them. When we take AK 47 and take all out of it in department od accuracy, reliability - they are all OK. But former FB Radom parts AKMS and WBP Lynx 7,62x39 ,10 inch barrel in all aspects of accuracy up to 300 m - they shine. My Lynx is scoring under 2 MOA with 2 MOA red dot only on plain Barnaul ammo on regular basis. AKMS a bit worse, due to barrel whip probably. So - in this time - I take WBP!
