So basically you’re left with 2 at the back 😀 might be okay for tekkz playing div 10 players but when players are round about the same skill level and they’ve got 5 at the back or 4 with 2 sitting midfielders

You play with a high defensive line. It doesn´t matter that you are ¨left with 2 at the back¨ while on possession. because yo are supposed to build up the attack slowly and organized, that way your team is preparared to take the ball back if you lose possession on your opponent side of the pitch, and they can´t long ball counter you because, again, your defensive line is high so the opposite striker would either be very far from goal or offside. That´s why Guardiola always liked high stamina midfielders and wingers that press high. You are supposed to defend on your opponent side off the pitch, if you win the ball back, is very likely a goal. If you can´t win it back, the opponent still has to build up his attack. What you said would be 100% true in any other FIFA, but the tactical roles have made the game deeper and more realistic this year.
