There are Three Alternatives. The Evangelical Connexion of the Free Church of England (which holds to the *Original and Unaltered* Declaration of Principles of the Free Church of England and considers itself the True Free Church of England), the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion (From which the FCE came back in the 19th Century) , and the Anglican Mission in England. ECFCE, COHC and AMiE. all Very, Very! Solid Alternatives :) ECFCE being my Personal Choice as they lean a lot more towards the Presbyterian Side of things, and, Well, I am rather a bit more Presbyterian than I am Anglican, so they appeal very Strongly to both the Reformed Anglican and the Anglo-Presbyterian sides of my Personality :)

The FCE hasn't told us what Brett Murphy was charged with (and he's not saying either), but we do know what the punishment meted out has been, and it is the most severe that any church can issue to a clergyman. In Brett's case it is all the more severe due to his wife's imminent due date. When all the facts and evidence finally emerge, I can only hope and pray, for the sake of both Brett and the FCE, that truth and justice will be vindicated.

My sister has been a midwife for 30 years and I know this midwife testimony to be true, because my sister told me 20 years ago this happens often in the UK! She was not completely pro life herself but was completely against this! She said she spent many hours holding babies that took ages to die after an abortion. One time she told me her midwife friend had ran a breathing aborted baby to special baby care. She was later taken to court by the baby's parent for doing so! Who then took the baby home!?!? For starters, unless I am misreading the image, I see a beard and mustache, which seems inconsistent with Isaiah 50:6, "I gave My back to those who strike Me, And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard." Also, that man looks quite intact physically. However, Isaiah 52:14 reads, "So His appearance was marred more than any man And His form more than the sons of men." I just looked up what is involved in a Roman scourging and it included the chest as well as the back and resulted in terrible lacerations, sometimes to the point of internal organs showing. We know that when Moses died, the Lord Himself buried him and no one knew/knows his burial place (Deuteronomy 34:5,6). If the reason, as has been suggested, was to keep people from idolizing Moses, how much more would it make sense that God would not want us to have an accurate physical image of Jesus in order to keep us from idolizing the image instead of the man (fully God, fully man).

I am an American on what many would likely call the "far Right". I don't agree with everything that Candace Owens said. However, it's sloppy and unfair to conflate opposition to Zionism (or, more often, to some forms of it) with antisemitism. Just as it is unjust name-calling to say that opponents of BLM are "racist," so there is nothing necessarily antisemitic about opposing the Israeli actions in Gaza. It is not a "blood libel" to consider a particular means of waging war to be unjustifiable. During World War II, Bishop Bell's opposition to the fire-bombing of Dresden did not make him unpatriotic or an Axis sympathizer. Disagreeing with the use of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki does not make one a supporter of the Japanese Empire. One could well consider Israel justified in a military response to the attacks on the 7th of October and still consider the present measures disproportionate. Neither Islam nor Zionism should get a free pass or be immune from criticism. Even if the massive Palestinian deaths were justified as collateral damage in legitimate self-defense and anti-terrorist military actions, it would not necessarily follow that the US and the UK should subsidize or aid that war with money and weaponry and technology and other forms of cooperation. Before 1973, the US did not supply Israel with vast subsidies or weaponry. They were perfectly able to take care of themselves. Our subsidies and weaponry risk prolonging and expanding this terrible bloodshed into a regional war. Zionism is a form of secular nationalism. He was cruelly silenced and forced out by the C of E. No less an evangelical than John Stott expressed agreement with him. Sizer did not deserve the treatment he received from the Church of England. The Palestinian Christians--Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, etc.--should be heard and not casually dismissed.

@@RevBrettMurphy Im going to leave this comment in case anyone who may need this information reads it. Or maybe it may be helpful to you if one of your flock is having to deal with this situation. It is illegal to leave children destitute. The council cannot refuse to give emergency accommodation to people with children unless they have made themselves "intentionally homeless," already have a place they could stay (even if its just a relatives spare room,) or they fall under the responsibility of another council authority. Here are some tips and things to be aware of. 1/ It is VERY IMPORTANT that anyone facing homelessness goes to the council asap. It is IMPERATIVE that you do not leave your existing property until the eviction process has been exhausted , literally the day the bailiffs come. If you leave before this the council can deem you to have made yourself "intentionally homeless" and then they have an excuse not to house you. Even if you leaving early would have no bearing on the final eviction you will technically have left a place you could have stayed in for a while longer and the council then will have lost their ability to negotiate with the landlord for you. So stay til the bitter end. Even if you have made yourself intentionally homeless you will still be given temporary EA if you have children while they complete their report and decide whether they have a responsibility to help you get permanent accommodation. If they decide they don't they will still point you to other sources of help. Ultimately, legally children cannot be left destitute and social services would step in. As it is detrimental to split up families (and more costly,) they will assist in finding a home. It may be through a scheme where they guarantee a bond and first month's rent to a private landlord or similar. It will certainly not be what you would choose but it will be a roof over your head. 2/ If you have not lived in the area for longer than a certain time period you may not be entitled to help from that council as your previous council may still have a legal responsibility to house you, especially if you don't have immediate family links in the area. You may need to return to your old council. 3/ If the council ask if you have a relative or friend you can stay with even for a couple of days on the floor and you say yes, they can refuse to give you Emergency Accomodation. Remember this is about temporary Emergency Accomodation, not about getting a longterm council house. While you are in EA the council will judge your eligibility for housing. If they judge you eligible for help from them they may end up giving you a council house or refer you to a housing association and many councils work with private landlords giving them incentives to rent to ppl on their list. So, my advice would be • if you are given an eviction notice go to court and fight it, delay it as long as possible to give you enough time to prepare for what's ahead. •Take advice on the process of applying for help from the council, your legal rights, the eviction process and any other questions you have. Citizens Advice Bureau and Shelter offer free advice in person, online and by phone. •If the crisis cannot be averted pack your belongings up well in labelled boxes. Your landlord cannot dump your stuff. You have a certain amount of time to retrieve it. The council can help with storage costs too. •On the day you have to leave and go to the council have ready a bag for each member of the family with toiletries, a few days clothes, medicines, ipad/laptop and all your documents. •Keep all correspondence with council, your landlord, courts etc in a folder in date order. •Apply to housing associations that allow you to self refer, look online for those that operate in your area. Look up rent guarantee schemes that will act as guarantor for a bond and will pay the first month's rent. •Make sure the council know that you are aware of the law and your rights.
