Testimonies like these are the reason I have given myself to Christ and started my relationship with him. For a long time I thought maybe Christ wouldn't save me because I was so far down the rabbit hole. I felt unworthy because I served the enemy for so long. When my grandfather passed away I inherited all of his free mason books and had fully planned to read them as a lot of people I know who were involved in the free masons were also republican so I actually felt like reading them would make me more republican and more patriotic. Politics were an idol in my life at this point (2021). I didn’t think anything of it. I had the same religious standpoint as her I considered myself a Christian but didn’t know Christ at all. Anyways, I had left the books in a suitcase in my car with a bunch of family heirlooms and my car was broken into and the suitcase and some other items were stolen. I never thought anything of it until I was saved this year. The only book not stolen was a family bible from 1857. God is good🙌

The New Age went universal global mainstream in 1987, with the Harmonic Convergence that year; This was the year designated by Alice Bailey, Helena Petrovnaya Blavatsky, et al. in the early 20th century as the beginning of the public dissemination of gnostic luciferian esoteric teachings, which up to that point had been relegated simply to the realm of the occult and general historic pagan arcana. The more things change, the more they stay the same: There's just a whole heck of a lot more of it these days; And it's getting stronger every day -- Like unto a manifestly apparently unwieldy Jagannath in the latter portion of the Kali Yuga -- Or so I have read. 🥸🥸🥸

Constructive criticism - for heavy episodes such as this, I really suggest finding a more tactful way to do ad/sponsor reads. It’s quite jarring to go from a guest basically saying “yeah I was graped” to an immediate cut of a super cheery and up beat ad read. I know you need sponsors to run a podcast, I’m not against sponsor reads, but there *has* to be a more respectful way to do it when an episode is so heavy and dark and a guest is pouring their heart out about their life.

I know right? I remember when I was maybe 12 years old ? And me and my friend went to books a million and we saw a book on how to do witchcraft. And we actually tried it but stopped because it required a lot of ingredients, but we also dabbled with the ouiji board. We had no idea what we were doing. I didn’t really know about God at that point in my life. It amazes me when I look back to think of the naivety. There were very scary stuff that happened with the ouija board

@@shayalynnI'm one that He's pulled out of the occult. I never had bad experiences with the ouija board, although I heard plenty of stories of those who did. But fear of scary entities isn't the only reason to stay away from the occult. Neither is obedience to His command. Both are good of course. But these things are distractions from our relationship with Him, from doing His work in the world, from studying His Word. And they're addictive, unfullfilling, and lead us to the Fruit of the tree, which is thinking that we can be our own masters, make our own decisions about what is Good. That way leads to all bad things. Drugs, cults, you name it. God and His Word and His works are plenty deep, and truly fulfilling. If you find Him boring, you need more education on the subject, lol. Or prayer, or church, or service activities.

It's so weird, because my grandmother was part of eastern star, and my mom used to be, my dad used to be in the free masons. And it always rubbed me the wrong way, so growing up I didn't like the church my family attended, and skipped Sunday school when I was 5 years old (I'd hide in the fields). I never looked far into eastern star or free masons, but I'm glad I listened to this because it sparked a possible epiphany of why.

Yup! A few years ago I watched a show on Amazon called “Lore” and specifically the episode on Jack Parsons. Sent me down a deep rabbit hole that revealed his Thelema and Occult practicing, his relationships with Aleister Crowley and L Ron Hubbard (which further convinced me Scientology is just another branch of Occult) and then looking at how those early years in the 30s and 40s of Occult and Spiritualism seemed to forever curse LA, and CA as a whole. I mean, SO many cults have started there, namely Charles Manson’s Family Cult, the LaVey’s Church of Satan up in San Francisco, Scientology, among a host of others. Occult practice has a long history in LA.

I worked on a few movie sets and one day a Director BEGGED me not to let Hollywood change me, he said I was a breath of fresh air. I went to a couple wrap parties and a Hollywood premiere, it was fun UNTIL a party one night opened my eyes. Some really big stars were there and it was a drug and sex orgy. I left IMMEDIATELY, and was not involved in any of that. Be polite and kind. Share links like this one, where people explain why they left this stuff. Find out their own personal experiences with Christianity. If they've been hurt in His name, pint or the verses where He condemns that. Do your best to be consistent and live truthfully, because they are very sensitive to hypocrisy. Show that you're witnessing out of care, not hatred, or fear, or conformity or pride, all of which they will expect. Share stuff like this that shows that God feeds our hearts filling nourishment. Share verses you found practical. Share stuff that helps illustrate why God is a better shepherd for us individually and collectively than we ever can be. Teach them how to read the Bible, because it can be confusing, and they probably have a pretty shallow understanding of it. But above all be polite and caring.
