I have this, it works great provided your batteries are fresh so you have a nice, bright light to see the reticle clearly. I have several scoped air guns and this makes life a lot easier.

Cool and thanks for the demo. One tip about bubble levels: if you setup both bubble levels so that the bubble is just kissing the edge line, instead of floating in between the two edge lines, you can get a more precise setting. This is because its easier to have the bubble just barely touch the line vs trying to eyeball the middle between the 2 lines.
@FClassJohn4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s a great tip and thank you for bringing it up. It’s funny because I use that method a lot but for some reason when I made the video my instinct was to keep it centered for some reason. ☹️
@reecepash86823 жыл бұрын
Excuse my stupidity but would setting up the bubble levels so that the bubbles touch the line would then result in a crooked scope??
@BenBelkin3 жыл бұрын
@@reecepash8682 you tilt the rifle so bubble touches line, then setup scope so bubble touches line, rifle and scope are parallel to each other, straighten rifle so bubble is in middle, now scope is also in middle.
@VincitOmniaVeritas7 Жыл бұрын
@@reecepash8682 not if both bubble levels are exactly at the same spot. You can check it afterwards placing the bubble on the target as centered as possible, adjusting the rifle so the reticle and grid match and its corresponding bubble is also centered.

The question is, can you manage to keep your rifle perfectly level while shooting without a bipod and monopod? Within a degree or so is probably sufficient. These systems are cool and all but I have found that with a good optic ( about a grand or so) and a good mount, the scope leveling shims work very well. That being said I am definitely going to pick up that kit because that is awesome lol

Don’t know about the grid piece though. It’s another possible source of error. You would need to be absolutely sure that the bubble levels are true. A quality cross laser as a reference would be probably a better reference

So I don't get it, you leveled the bubble in the device, what about the gun, is it level?
@DavidAR101 Жыл бұрын
I have two and love them. One is for travel. The other stays at my place and its name is PRECIOUS. What ever the cost would have been to have it made of metal on 5 AXIS CNC with certified precision bubble levels of specified tolerance... I would have paid that price. Wish it wasn't made in China.

Before you mount the alignment tool to the barrel, does your rifle have to be level?

It's hard enough to get the crosshairs level but then when you tighten the rings down the scope will always move. Even after lapping the rings.

Verticle split rings like: 214LM Warne 30mm, QD, Medium Matte Rings or LARUE's QD LT104 don't rotate if directions are followed. And there is no worry about the equal gap crap.

The picayinny part of the front mount maybe works, but for a weaver style scope mount this tool sucks. Presuming you are able to perfectly level your rifle on some kind of holding tool, what is the reason of having a bubble level on the front side of the tool? How the heck is possible yo align the gun itself and the front side of the tool to be both aligned and level????? It make no sense…. The front side of the tool can move all over the place related to the gun (level) action. I am idiot or the tool is idiotic dessigned?

Go scope out Eric Cortina's two vids using this tool. Then you'll understand that it doesn't take the integral f(x) by separation of parts to figure out the solution set of your last question. Actually, I said, "WTF." outloud over a year ago. Fantastic tool. Best to you.

@@DavidAR101 thank you David for your reply, but it was impossible to find the Eric Cortina’s videos posted on youtube related to leveling tool. So if that goes off the barrel surely you need to level the action first or your action could be on the piss and then you have levelled off a straight barrel
@FClassJohn4 жыл бұрын
No that’s just it, it doesn’t care about your action because it squares off the combination of scope and barrel. Once you do this then you action is actually leveled automatically from what I found.
@James-prs-uk4 жыл бұрын
F-Class John so if your action is sat on the piss then you do this off the barrel I you say it make it level I don’t see how your going of a round barrel that could be not level with the action how doesn’t it level the action and the scope to me it looks like you just shine a light down the scope on to a level board and level the scope to that but nothing to get the action level to the scope
@FClassJohn4 жыл бұрын
I guess all I can add is that the assumption with this tool is that your rings will tighten down square to your rail which should be square to your action. If the rings are square to the rail then the center of the scope inside those rings will by nature of the tool being level, then level the action as a result. Each piece works to level the corresponding piece. Does that make sense?

bro, u did it wrong, once you set that v on the top of the objective, you DONT push that device until the bubble on top is level!!! you turn the RIFLE until that bubble is level!!! you placed that v on top of the objective then you screwed up its alignment by pushing that sideways !
