Totally agree. The combo of using the app and using the JKL trigger takes the Labradar from “a little better than the Magnetospeed” to “hands down, way better”.

John, I'm getting a Labradar for Christmas and the trigger will now be a part of it! I understand the use and principal behind it but you mention placement of the radar unit itself is not critical. Does this also mean aiming the unit (V notch) is also not critical or does the V-notch need to be aimed at the target (100 yards)?
@FClassJohn Жыл бұрын
You still need to worry about aiming, it just becomes a little less critical is all but you will want to make sure you set it up consistently (in terms of relative position) so that all your sessions are more aligned. And yes, still need to basically point at the target but I've also played with it pointing in other directions and it works, but it will change readings which is why I say to pick a setup and stick with it so it's consistent.

John, New subscriber here. Just got a lab radar and I have watched all your related videos on it. I took it out for it's maiden run to do a 20 shot ladder test. The unit worked great, however, when I downloaded the data it recorded 52 shots. All the settings were correct on the unit including the Trigger setting with the JKL Trigger unit properly placed. All 20 of my shots were recorded mixed in with 32 other recorded shots. Any suggestions?

For 100 yards, what yardages do you have the LR set to? I normally have muzzle to 100. Wouldn’t it make sense to like the LabRadar up with the Lizzie for proper distance?

I just do 10,20,30,40 etc. I'm not tracking for BC or anything so I honestly don't care. What you set it for has nothing to with how accurate it is according to them.

Probably but it would depend on how much your bipod moves. You could test and see.

Of course they would, they don't sell them. I made my own from a SW18010-P switch and 3.5mm female socket ($5 total). Tested it with two Labradars, one either side and they both were the same.

@yvestouchette41593 жыл бұрын
No doubt that the recoil triggers are a nice addition, but you really should be using the trigger mode and not the doppler mode even when you are not using an external sensor. I'm no expert but my understanding is that using doppler it will look for a bullet flying in it's radar covered path. Trigger mode (without an external sensor) will use the built-in microphones. So far, I haven't had too much trouble using the trigger mode and internal sensor at the range with other shooters near by. I also found out that you can build your self a trigger with a simple shake switch available online, if you are into DYI. Anyone know where I can pick up a switch like that in Canada? Is it just a force switch?
@FClassJohn3 жыл бұрын
I don't remember where I saw it but there's 'instructables' out there somewhere that show you have to get the accelerometer or whatever it is and make your own. I bet with a little google-fu you could find it. The parts are readily available on Amazon.
