It's hard to tell what the map is supposed to be at the start, but once you activate all the switches and close the gaps it's definitely the final story map of 1.0

Wasn’t that the final map of Path of Radiance? I think you mean the final map of Chapter 9 of Book I, which is when you first fight Veronica.

it's Aether raids in the default map configuration. You can see an escape ladder, two fortresses, etc at the bottom with each of your starting unit sets. The surroundings also match the battle animation for AR's default map which is easier to see post battle

The well is so cool. I managed to get a flame lance but I wish the bolt axe was a thing outside of camilia. It's such a wasted opportunity considering how useful magic weapons are towards armor units

Yeah it's a shame the only magic axe is the hurricane axe, which means that the armored units will attack first anyways

Surprised you didn't mention the lack of additional dlc bonus items outside of the well for wave 3 which, according to this playthrough's canon, could be attributed to Citrinne having died inbetween updates and thus could no longer contribute to the war effort.

You get Nel and Nil’s weapons from the well the first time you check it out, so I’d say those are the bonuses.

@@paperluigi6132 Okay, I'll give you that that is the correct answer, but not the most fun one. To put on my arrogant hat on real quick, you have to get those two weapons from the well (even if they're still free) rather than the game outright giving them to you upon booting up the Somniel. Playthrough lore wise, that well could've been a building investment Citrinne made before dying. Or I could just be making up my own BS at this point.

Honestly this map made me think of Revelations Chapter 18, methinks this was originally Azura's map before they slapped her away for Camilla and threw in Veronica

There's 0 reason to believe that Azura got scrapped, especially so late as to leave Veronica on a map that vaguely ressembles some Revelation map but still having the time to fully recreate Birthright Chapter 23 including a gimmick that Camilla would have to activate - Camilla for whom they'd then need to make a whole new model from scratch... This reasoning makes no sense lol, Veronica's map is just based on AR.

The /s was not necessary. If you used any DLC, quality of life feature, the Somniel, the Time Cristal, or if you restarted even once, you didn't beat the game. I don't make the rules sorry
