Gary’s response is pretty realistic. Your friends abusive ex boyfriend pops out of nowhere in the woods trying to talk to you as he follows you home. Gary’s trying to process what’s going on next to the fact that he has a bad feeling about him. He knows something is wrong but his mind is trying to rationalize the situation by thinking david just simply wants to know about Nicole which is the best case scenario.
