First of all, great vid, Jen! Pretty sure the pilot wanted to show your spotting place. But the bank angle looks fine to me. Your fear of flying surprised me. But I find it great that you stand to your feelings. You were brave! Honestly, I can neither stand on a high tower or steep mountain because I suffer from height phobias... but no problem in a plane! May I recommend you the service of Air France for a relaxing next flight? Their suitcases are full of surprises :)

great vid, Jen!! 1) yes, filming from the airplane can be pretty hard. 2) applause for acknowledging your fears! Flying happens to be one of my favorite things ever but even someone who's actually flown an airplane for himself quite a few times (like me) can understand why someone would be nervous. I'm sure you'll eventually conquer and overcome. Keep soaring, girl! The bank is pretty normal btw. Airliners bank about 30 degrees either side on avrg. and have a 20 degree pitch up max on climb for the most part. It seems like a lot but it isn't much really.

Thank you so much Jay!!! Thanks for the feedback on the bank too - I did not know and it seemed so sharp, like 90 degress - to my overactive mid that is!!! I can't wait to some day get to where you are and love to fly!! After all, I have to keep flying for my beautiful adventures in Arizona!!! :)

Good video mate. The area around Logan airport looks really nice. Last year I was happy to record a nice window-view-video during Logan approach/landing with red sun set in the background.

Good job Jen! Good thing you were not on that southwest flight in which the captain said "WE'RE GOING DOWN"! The banking turn appeared steep but that is just flying. I flew out of Portland one time and we made such a sharp left turn I actually was laying on the wall with my nose on the window, loved it!!

Thank you and can you imagine? If I was on the Southwest plane I probably would have passed out!!! :)

HOLY S**T! I am the same exact way. My wife often makes fun of me. Glad there is someone else out there that absolutely loves aviation, but would rather film it from the ground.

Thank you so much! Yay, some one else in the club!!! It is is good to know I am not the only one who loves aviation - from the ground. I hope to get over it some day - but for now, I am sooooo nervous! :)

Thank you so much Toronto! And, YAY another member of the club - we love aviation from the ground!!! :) I hope some day I will be a bit less nervous!!! :)

I can't believe that there are people who love aviation and on the other hand are afraid of flying. For me, the love of aviation and go flying is absolute the same! But yeah, people are different. Airtime is life time!

Great Video Jen! when i flew out of Logan last summer, a women was sitting next to me and she had said how she was scared of flying, so i prepared for the worst :), once we took off, we had to turn hard and she started freaking out thinking there was a problem with the plane and we had to go land again, i had to tell her that we took of going in the opposite direction and had to do a full 360, she eventually calmed down. When we landed in Orlando, she thanked me for the facts and she wished i was always there when she flew :). i thought you would like that little story, it was pretty entertaining. :)
@jenf77711 жыл бұрын
Awe thank you!!! TBird told me too how every once in a while you get some really hard banks out of out Boston. But your story is exactly what the pilot did - a complete 360!! Maybe some day I will be able to fly without tequila!!! :) Look forward to meeting you!!! :)

jenf777 Sorry to be nitpicky, but do you mean a 180? :)
@Kylehikes4711 жыл бұрын
hahaha, yes i meant 180 :)
@jenf77711 жыл бұрын
IsoscelesKramer hehe, well it actually felt like two 360s to me, but I am sure you are correct, a 180 degree turn!!! :)

Nice video, thanks , Jen, also can i ask what type of plane you were on?

You're not scared of flying, you're scared of falling, aren't you? As an aviation lover, you know how safe flying is, so enjoy the trip :D
@jenf77711 жыл бұрын
Hey big Lou, you could be on to something!! I don't know if it is the fear of falling, being "out of control" or my wildly active imagination!! Maybe all three. Thank you so much for your comments!!!
@13BigLu1311 жыл бұрын
That's nice to hear, you're welcome :) It's perhaps a mix of all 3. But as you know how a plane works and that it's very safe, you shouldn't be feared of falling. And that you're out of control, well that's true (as long as you aren't the pilot ;) ), but in this case, you can trust the pilots. They have the greatest job in the world, so they'll do it right :) Maybe you could try to speak to them before the flight, have a little chat so that you can be absolutley sure they are OK. And the last thing about the wild imagination, I guess you're imagining how the plane falls down, but this leads straight to the first point, that you know it better. So, as I said, enjoy the flight, there's nothing to worry about :)

Very nice video Jen!! I am a Boston boy myself and I always HATE how close the plane gets to the water during a landing, and I also hate most landings at Logan are short and hard, because of how little runway the plane has:( Also what plane/airline were you flying on? By the way the window looks, I think you were on a Airbus of some kind, anyway keep up the good work! :-)
@jenf77711 жыл бұрын
Yay, another Bostonian!!! I am completely with you, it seems like the water is so close I hardly dare look!!! And, it seems like there is always a hard bump/jump on the landings.You are absolutely right, I was on a little Airbus A319. Thank you so much for commenting!
