Wouldn't it be more correct to say that you are the alpha horse and the horse is moving her feet because you, the alpha horse, told her to move her feet. I don't see the point in saying you are a predator and she is afraid of you. Right eyed and left eyed? Come on.
@fburton8

Sorry, but I don't see why you'd want to seen as another horse or assume a horse would see you that way. Surely 'predator' and 'another horse' aren't the only options?

Don't waste your time with this place people. I went there a few days ago, rudest people I ever meet, and they need to go back to Virginia because they don't belong in Tennessee. I pulled up there and a guy came over to my car. He said can I help you? I said I was just driving by and I saw this place, it looks pretty cool and I just wanted to check it out. He next says well this is a Dude Ranch, and it's by invite only, if I can just ask you to turn around and leave. I said OK, how about I turn around right there? He nods yes and walks back off. Seriously, how rude was that. I just wanted to check the place out. After I left there I talked to several different people "locals" and nobody had anything good to say about that place. The first guy I talked to was literally right down just out of the entrance and down the road where they bring if their rafts after doing the rapids. Him and his wife swimming there, more local than I am, Del Rio local. I asked him if he knew anything about that Dude Ranch. He asked, "like what?". Then I told him like I wrote her about what just happened. He had told me already he hasn't personally been there but they don't want any locals there. So when he said, "I know", I said "You know?". He looks at me and said: "Yea, see I know somebody that paid $500 for each of their Grand Kids to stay there and they thought it was going to be a nice vacation." I was thinking that too btw when I pulled in there, boy was I wrong. Anyway he tells me they woke everyone up at 5 AM every day and treated them like slaves working the Ranch, basically he says everyone paid $500 to be slaves for a week. Next person an hour latter or so tells me more of the same and agrees with me, they are rude as ____. So save your money, PM me here, I'll take you out they way and it will be a fun vacation, but I wouldn't wast my time going there if I were you. I can even put you on a horse to ride on another river close by if that's what you want. I don't care one way or another what anyone reads this decides too do, but if I were you I would ask around on the internet about this place and pend my money elsewhere. This being in Tennessee and being run by rude people from Virginia makes us look bad down here, because people from Tennessee are not rude like that, and people may think they are natives, they are not. They don't treat you like family as they claim, unless it's like that Mother in Law you love to hate, they don't know what treating people like family means.

Arabian horses are simply smart enough to know they should avoid unnecessary speed, turns or movement in slick mud. A prey animal with a leg injury becomes very vulnerable and will probably not last long. An arabian is smart enough to know a slick round pen is unsafe.

I've heard the theory that horses don't like to move their feet so many times it must usually be true. I guess I just get the ones that are exceptions to the rule.

Very different results actually. Neither of them look scared or nervous to me. Breeze looks impatient and maybe a little irritated, while Rosie is actually listening to something in the distance, most likely another horse she was interested in. she looks pretty excited but definitely not scared, she's moving around quite a bit but I think she was just restless, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. :) How long had Breeze been tied for when you took that video? It's not unusual for a horse to get irritated over being made to sit still for a long time, especially if they aren't exercised much and have a lot of energy to burn. It seems like he was already pawing before you started to walk away, so it's not about you walking away, more about him being impatient and wanting to get going already lol. Based on your other comments, Rosie sounds like a very anxious horse that gets nervous easily, but she looks like a total sweetheart in your videos lol. Is that you riding her bridleless? She looks great and I think you're doing better than you think. :) But about her biting, you should NEVER let her bite at other people, soon it won't just be "biting at" but actually biting them. Watch this video on how to correct her if she bites or bites at someone again. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmGqeGdvot5mh80 A horse that behaves aggressively with people or other horses isn't acceptable at all, especially in a barn with other riders and horses. Try calmly introducing her to the new riders and getting her comfortable with unfamiliar people. :) is your responsibility to make sure your horse is a calm, confident, and most importantly, SAFE horse.

@@darktoadn1113 Also do you do any groundwork with her? Lunging/moving her feet? Because her being pushy and getting in your personal space is a sign of her not respecting you. I'm not extreme about personal space, I let my horse rub her head on me and cuddle lol, but jumping on you/pushing is a bit much. It's good that she looks to you for reassurance but sometimes you need space, and a scared 1000 pound animal pushing all over you can get a little dangerous. it's okay for horses to learn boundaries. What causes her to spook so badly? she looked very calm in the video of her being ridden bridleless. And why is she panicked to the point of shivering so often? Has she been abused in the past? I wish you two the best, Rosie's a gorgeous horse and you two have a very strong bond. :)
