As a dog trainer I really appreciate that you did your best to make sure he was not frightened with the different activities. I like that you error on the side of caution never making assumptions. Often I see people do this to pets and they say the pet likes it, then when it happens you see the pet like swirling around in panic clearly not liking it. Paco does not at all, the whole way down you see him just chilling out thrusting his owner. I see a awesome lifetime friendship :)

I stopped myself years from getting a dog for the exact same reason, I had a dog once before and it killed me when she left, BUT I got the courage one day with all what's going on and I said if this world ends I will be surrounded by animals. I got three dogs off the streets and I cannot tell you best decision ever. Pain fades away with time but GOOD memories stay forever, trust me.

My first ever dog died 2 months and it was really hard on me for the first two days, but then I told myself that I should be happy not sad. I gave this dog the best chance to live and have fun & the most love, while many dogs don’t get it & she could’ve maybe never gotten that chance either. & she left this world not suffering too, last thing on her face was a big smile with his tongue out. I then got a new dog about 5 days later and I feel so good. I still miss the last dog but she lived her life & I get to give this one a chance too. ur saving a life by adopting a dog go ahead n do it.
