Ever read the book "Lord of the flies"? when children come together the one that is the most cruel will become "the leader" and everyone else will follow. It's survival instinct, we don't want to show "weakness" and become a target. Unfortunately this is something that's endemic in every single school and the way the school system works, it almost encourages it.

Being a kid is no excuse. I can’t even fathom the thought of ever wanting to hurt such animal. I remember my sixth birthday when my family got our first pet, a bird. My first instinct was to protect and caress this little birdie, and that is what a kid’s natural reaction to an animal normally should be. If they ever find the joy in hurting defenseless animal is because they are born sociopath or their parents are uncivilized assholes and make that seem okay, either by hurting animals themselves or by hurting other humans. My dog recently got stabbed by a neighbor in near her eye, barely missing her eyeball, and I have been finding comfort in this channel seeing the dogs be happy again. I just wish I could annihilate all these monsters from the earth. It angers me so damn much that these filthy people exist.

@sirmeowthelibrarycat6 жыл бұрын
Tiisiphone 😳 You are doing what any responsible parent should do. Note the use of ‘responsible’, something all too many parents abdicate to anyone else but themselves. Many such parents themselves behave irresponsibly, setting a wrong example to their children. They criticise any attempt to correct their children by teachers, police officers and judges. You may well have know of cases where a parent has entered a school to challenge the staff who tried to insist on good behaviour from their child. Is it any surprise that their children emulate the example of antisocial behaviour set by the parent?
@JiveDadson6 жыл бұрын
Hear hear! Children learn their core values before school age. They should learn compassion before reaching the age when they naturally rebel against authority. Besides, who is to devise the morals curriculum? School board members are often woefully ignorant people.

@danielgoubarev31906 жыл бұрын
@Unicorn Girl I agree with you on that, but what if humans weren't here?
@creeperqueen1816 жыл бұрын
Replying to all comments before mine: I do see your points, both are valid. However, while I love animals and can absolutely not grow up without them, it would be better for them in the wild. Think about it. When you take an animal out if it's natural habitat, you upset the balance and order that they had. Their diet changes to some grain crap that honestly isn't good for their insides, they are constantly surrounded by their captors although that can be easily gotten used to and even admired, and it messes up all of their instincts such as being used to going outside or any other habits that they may have had. And what happens when we humans can no longer care for them and decide that they need to go back to the wild? After all of this time, they have been trained to become used to the life that we have given them, and are thus no longer prepared to fend for themselves. And while I do agree that we humans do offer all that they need to live a prosperous life and also can benefit from the comfort and company, it is ultimately us that get the domesticated animals killed or injured. If we leave them be in the beginning, then we don't have to live with the guilt of their death. But I do agree, all animals that we are able to rescue, given the situations of the animals that have been rescued, then we ought to take that chance rather than risk them dying even when we had the chance. If a dog is laying right next to a freeway, than he needs to be moved. But if a cat is perfectly safe and happy in the forest where no humans can bother them, we need to leave them be. In conclusion, I do agree with both if you, but it really depends on the circumstance. Now, I'm going to ignore everything I just said and go get me a cat because I'm a lonely teen with social anxiety and I need my brethren

The kids throwing rocks are the future abusers of these poor animals. Unlike humans, animals do NOT act maliciously. We need tougher laws to punish abusers and increase awareness of animal abuse! I grew up on a farm in a very rural area and compassion for animals was never taught because hunting was a way of life... We hunted, trapped and fished daily to put food on the table. I also shot birds, starlings for fun & tortured poor animals like frogs, etc . As an adult, out of all the regrets I built up over forty years... The cruelty to animals (not so much the having to eat part) but the stuff kids do to animals who have not been taught compassion towards all of God's creatures are some of my biggest regrets. When I had my child I taught him compassion at an early age. I no longer hunt or eat wild game. I catch and release fish... And periodically donate to Hope For Paws & a local puppy mill rescue organization. I have come to terms with my past regressions and have asked for forgiveness... I feel when judgement time comes, needless hurting of animals will be accounted for.

@Juicy I'm owning up to what I did, not making excuses... I had several older cousins raised in the same farm.. I looked up to them and they didn't set the best examples. Kids these days barely respect anyone. Animals, other kids, parents, elderly... One time I saw two kids laughing and throwing rocks at some wild ducks and I immediately stepped in and told them to stop it right away. We found him at our doorstep about 2 weeks later. He didn’t know where he was. He was cold, starving, and needing hugs. He passed away about a week later. My little puppy passed away about a week before whiskey died from a snake bite. I miss them both ❤️Love your animals and they will love you back❤️
