Dogs give aggressive vibes when they're scared.
@DogLover_3657 ай бұрын
That’s usually the case. It’s sad. People are just lazy and would rather dump a dog then actually try. There is ALWAYS reasons for a dog to be acting out. 4 of my dogs were foster fails, they’re pitbulls and would of been overlooked at the shelter because of their issues and past. They’re all wonderful dogs. Wouldn’t even know they had a bad past if they didn’t have cropped ears and scars, one even has a crooked tail from his tail being broken and was left untreated. My children love them, even my neighbors love them. There are no bad dogs❤️💯🐾
@SilverAuntie7 ай бұрын
@@DogLover_365. exactly. You have to work with you pets, no matter the breed. Don't just take them to some dog training classes at your local pet store, or even with a certified trainer, and think you're done. And, don't think that, just because you dog's breed is labeled "soft" and "kid friendly" that you won't have any problems. Every dog is different and, if you don't train them properly, can become aggressive. I was mauled by two Black Labs who lives next door. Their owners never spent time, either playing with them OR training them. They had four digs total and, lacking any clear alpha in that house, they made their own pack and Charlie was the pack leader. They got loose one day and I happened to walk outside, just in time for them to swarm into my yard and bite me. To this day, I do not blame those dogs at all. They got the short straw with their owners, who never came over to apologize, see how I was doing, ZILCH, and I had to hire a lawyer to get their homeowners insurance to pay my medical bills. BITTOM LINE, PEOPLE. Be responsible pet owners, or don't bother having pets at all!!!

Luke said something in one of his videos a couple of years ago that has always stuck with me, made me realize how much he truly understands these shelter dogs, the traumas they’ve been through, and the shell-shock they experience inside the shelter. As he explained it, because he can understand these things from his time in the military, he views these misunderstood dogs as though they’re his troop mates, “and in the military we had a saying that you never leave your mates behind. Well, that’s how I see these shelter dogs, they’re my troops now, and I don’t ever want to leave one behind.”

Reminds me of the rottie my parents adopted. He lived in putrid conditions and was physically abused by my dads work colleague. My dad took one look at him and told his work colleague that he's going to take his dog. Otherwise, there would be hell to pay. This colleague knew better than to test my dad. He was viscous at 1st only because he was afraid. But he bonded with me instantly. The best and most loyal dog we ever had. We had him for 15 wonderful years. He was there from my adolescence to the birth of my child. He later became my duaghters shadow . Lastly and most important, he was at my dads side every step through cancer until he passed. 1 week later his faithful boy joined him. Some people just don't and never will understand or appreciate the love of a dog.

It is ironic that Luke fought for our freedom (and gained PTSD in the process) and he himself is now reduced to a small world (ie The Farm) because he and his wife as so selfless and have dedicated their lives to save those that others have let down and in the process have not only gained the stress of caring for the beautiful creatures emotionally and physically (some have significant health issues and vet bills are expensive) but having to do so without a steady income because they had to close their successful business to support the rescue animals. Truly the best family on the internet. Who would sacrifice their livelihood and freedom, they cannot leave the farm as a family for long or ever go on holidays because they need to be there to correctly channel the dogs, dingoes and cats interactions for all the wonderful animals they have rescued. 💕

Thank you for saving Freddo from the life of being in and out of the shelters and always being let down by humans before you and your family came along ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤ The work you do is remarkable and I thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ Much love and blessings to you and your family from the USA 🇺🇲❤️

The Evans have foster failed - a lot. Two brother dogs, Tank and Chopper, brought by the shelter staff along with other dogs to get some exercise on the Farm property. When it was time to go home, Chopper simply laid down on his side because he didn't want to leave. Within 5 minutes, Luke had introduced them to some of their dogs to see Tank and Chopper's behavior with them. They did well enough that they stayed at the Farm that night and never left.

I started watching this channel when it was a very popular and successful daycare for dogs. They had to suspend the daycare when the pandemic caused them to shut down temporarily. They took on the rehabilitation of several dogs during the shutdown, and eventually closed the daycare to devote their talents to rehabilitating shelter dogs with behavioral and medical problems. It has been an amazing experience. Freddo was one of the dogs in that first group of shelter dogs, all of whom were adopted by other families. When I saw the headline that Freddo was being adopted, my heart sank. When his new forever family was the Evans family, tears of gratitude were the natural reaction. Freddo is an amazing dog with an amazing family and he has become top dog on The Farm. Thanks to The Dodo for sharing his story and that of the Disneyland for dogs that is The Farm. Their worldwide community of supporters sustained me through the pandemic, through good days and bad. Anyone who loves dogs will love The Farm and all those who are a part of it, dogs, cats, dingos, a horse, goats, three children, and the incredible Luke and Sam, who give whatever it takes to those in their care.

Love Freddo. He’s the face of The Farm. To the naysayers, watch the videos before you comment. Luke is absolutely the best. He’s a veteran and He and Sam are a beautiful, loving couple. Their three kiddos are living their best lives with 20 dogs, 2 dingoes and 2 kitties. The Farm community is worldwide and dare I say almost protective of the Evans family, both 2 legged and 4 legged members. ♥️♥️♥️

There was something innately special about Freddo from the very moment he set forth onto "The Farm". It was as if he was harboring worn-out secrets, unwilling to share with anyone. A loner of-sorts, until Luke helped to break down Freddo's untrusting barrier. Sometimes I wonder who adopted whom? The rest is history....Freddo's hard knocks in life gave him the much needed fortitude to preserve until he successfully bonded with his earthly angels, the Evan's family. The rest is a storybook tale...the pauper canine who miraculously became a prince, and is now living his best life. ❤ We passionately love you, Freddo!

Farm member here so happy that Freddo is being featured! At the time, it was so bittersweet watching Luke lovingly prepare Freddo to meet his new family, but when that gate opened and they yelled surprise… well that started the waterworks. (Lord love him, my husband was a bit confused.. he’s so literal minded, Luke said a new family, so wait, what?? 😂😂) And then the party after?? So stinking sweet. All the love and care put into helping Freddo blossom to be his best self… he is such a good boy. We were just as surprised as everyone that no one had come forward.. all the members were in love with him but too far away, or couldn’t take another dog. But he was meant to have his furever home at the Farm. (Husband and I sometimes sing parts of the song Elle and Evie sang for him, “Freddo, you are home now..” 🥲) So sweet to see this special doggo’s story shared with more people. 💕

Rotties love their human companions. I knew of someone who tried train his Rottie to be aggressive. Chained him up to a tree outside his apartment. Landlord told him he had to go, and the guy said fine he’s useless, he just wants to be friends with everyone. His name was Beau! We met him. He sat on my husband’s foot and wouldn’t move! We gave the guy some money and took him home! He had a beautiful life being a lap dog and running on an acre with his mate. Two beautiful Rotties!

Freddo was merely reacting to the pain & suffering he endured from the mistreatments & abandonment that he experienced from his previous encounters with those human beings that were not kind to him.
