As an Australian, thank you. Some of my family's friends own Emus. And trust me they are actually fast runners. They often run straight at you at full speed and then halt at the last moment. And remember these birds are taller than yourself. And these emus don't really like dogs either. Once my friends dog had its head stomped in by one of the emus. But don't worry we will get em one day mate!

I was part of the French expeditionary force helping out with the defense of Sydney. And then the birds assaulted the city in multiple directions. These bastards were elites and we stood no chance against them. First my best friend Stout was captured, then my brother got killed when we were retreating. We took heavy losses falling back every minute until what remains of the Australian Army, British, and French expeditionary force were in the Sydney Oppera building waiting to die. At this point only 200 of the 450,000 allied soldiers remained. Then the Second Australian Army caught the emus off guard and annihalated then within 2 days. We survived at what cost. Never forget

The defeat of Australia at the "hands" of the Emus was so thorough that the surrender terms included permanently emblazzing an emu in the Coat of Arms of Australia. Please do the 2nd russian pacific fleet travel to Tsushima. They were so brilliant, they confused the gamecock fleet with japanese ships and shot at them.
@oddballsok
@oddballsok 7 жыл бұрын
neeh, the russians knew the british supported the japanese back then. The gamecock fleet were spy ships , perhaps one or two having hidden guns on deck. Privateering was invented under the english... so never trust an english ship..
@dehavillandvampire
@dehavillandvampire 7 жыл бұрын
Except that's not why they shot at them...Admiral Rozhestvensky genuinely thought that they were Japanese Gunboats because y'know torpedo boats in the north sea thousands of miles outside of their operating range seems legit.
@papazoulou9326
@papazoulou9326 7 жыл бұрын
Well actually no. He isn't the one who gave the order to shoot. Actually, no one really did. The russians paid spies to check if any japanese torpedo boat where hidden, since due to the influence of the french "jeune école", everyone was paranoid about these ships. So these spies where paid to give reports, so they gave the russian HQ lots and lots of invented reports, leading to the russians being even more paranoid (plus the japanese were a tougher ennemy than what they thought to be initially). Now it doesn't stop here, since this 2nd Pacific fleet was manned by inexperienced (euphemism) soldiers. So when the russians reached the dogger bank and encoutered the gamecock fleet (at night) they believed it was a surprise attack from the japanese. So the russian fleet begins to shoot with their seondary armament on the poor fishermen. Since the russians were so inexperienced, they also shot at their own ships, while the battleship Borodino shot once with his main artillery, making the crew from the Orel to believe that he blew up.
@papazoulou9326
@papazoulou9326 7 жыл бұрын
You know what's the worst thing about this? The russians believed that they had countered a powerful japanese fleet, and moral grew exponentialy, believing that the fishermen shouldn't have been there in the first place, while the impacts on the Aurora battleship was considered as a good omen, meaning that the crew were beginning to aim well, wich is a fucking stupid remark, since all in all, only one british ship was sunk, killing two, despite the whole of the fleet firing at them.
