My favourite emu fact is that the male emus do most of the egg brooding and chick rearing. As an Australian I find emus a bit scary because I can’t read them so they seem pissed off and erratic. But then again, the only emus I’ve seen up close were in wildlife parks and kept in cages. The ones I’ve seen in the wild have just been minding their own business. I had never ever heard of this story.....ever.
