2024 marked the year I became a true women’s basketball fan. It started with CC and Iowa but now I can name pretty much any WNBA player and cannot get enough of Hannah Hidalgo and the other teams crushing it in college right now. Thank you Quita for the amazing commentary and helping me learn more about this awesome sport! See you in ‘25!

I agree with most of what you said about the growth of the WMBA, you fell shot on your video about who was mainly responsible for that growth. As far as statically in all categories the growth was mainly Caitlin Clark. You can look up the WMBA records for verification. If you're going to cover the whole year on the growth of the WMBA, let's give credit where credit do. We can then be as accurate as possible. I don't want to sound like I'm Caitlin Clark fan, which I am, just trying to show the views how 2024 really got startled and the impact that followed. 2025 is going to be even better than last year because of the impact it left in 2024. Now everyone can enjoy it. ‘A rising tide lifts all boats’

Kim Mulkey's outrageous outfits brought me to the women's NCAA game. That is when I saw clips of Angel and the shoe. I then started watching all of her clips. Then the ring controversy, which went to a dreadful place, blew up everyone involved (at least on my feed) I'm glad it grew the game, but I'm sad that it came with such vitriol. This rookie class was phenomenal. I hope the W learns from the highs and lows of its marketing. I can't wait for next season.

I was a Caitlin Clark inspired WNBA newbie. Caitlin “showtime” was far more entertaining than the NBA. However, as a Canadian I was dismayed at how a gifted 22 year old phenom could be the brut of all of America’s divide and dysfunction. Dismayed that WNBA vets, some OGs, ESPN commentators and players could throw her so much shade. Yet CC handled all of this with grace, dignity and professionalism far beyond her years. I imagine they will still malign her for a few more years. If this continues I will leave the W, especially if they try to injure Caitlin even though I enjoy it very much. I do appreciate you very much for your level head, objectivity and love of the game.

I know you said you started this QLS channel (it’s in the name) in March of 2023 but you started your YT channel in 2006 and have been posting about women’s basketball in one form or another for the over 17 years! You must have been just a kid back then. Your maturity and knowledge of the women’s game really shows and that’s why I’ve always said you are the #1 Chicago Sky fan in the world. I’m sorry you never got to play as a pro or division 1 NCAA player (I think) but I can tell you played at some level. Your channel deserves many more subscribers and I think it will get there organically over time. Not with clickbait headlines or controversial drama, just WBB news and opinions. You should really be hired by a WNBA team or the league but KZbin does seem to be the future vs legacy media that seems to keep getting worse every year.

There is no doubt and without question that Caitlin Clark was by and far the number one story of the year and thank you Quita for mentioning this. Yes, there are other stories but Caitlin was the number one story. Other anti-Caitlin channels won't admit this but this is why you Quita are different and this is why you are one of my favorite Channels. CC was the ONLY reason I watched women's hoops for the very FIRST TIME. An incredible year because of CC in my opinion.
@QuitaLovesSportsАй бұрын
Appreciate that, Caitlin was certainly a big part of the year. But what I like the most is that she was able to introduce the awesomeness of WBB to so many people that now know the names of Kelsey Mitchell, Arike, A’ja Wilson and others who have been great for forever
@YouAREyoubeYouАй бұрын
No Caitlin story without Angel Reese-keep it 💯. Her story would have been like everyone else’s had it not had AR. A logo three shooting white girl who loses twice in NCAA back to back Championships! Wow sounds like Sabrina’s story🤔-without Angel Reese. Lmbo😂😂😂😂
@BeautifulAfroWomanАй бұрын
@ I’m so glad I’m not a black woman who has to follow another black woman because she’s black. Reese was nothing until she stalked CC around the court like a jealous little maggot and all because this white girl got all the headlines and broke records. Then she blows AR away at the pro level and breaks records there too. Your incessant jealousy shows how retarded and stupid you are. Reese is nothing without CC and everyone knows it so crawl back into your lonely little cell and stfu. Winning a title didn’t do crap for AR. She’s still less popular than Trampy Reese. Got it jealous little girl? Unlike you sorry asses who hate, Caitlin I don't hate Angel. I hope she gets better and matures a little. 😂😂😭😭🤣🤣

the biggest look back on the 2024 finals was how embarassingly rigged it was it was like the kings vs lakers series but ive never seen a winner take all where a player gets smacked across the face and jj body slammed Minnesota's center and stewey take 6 steps (no travel called) then alana smith blocks it (doesnt touch steweys arm at all) then gets a foul called i feel like i deserved the championship more then ny and for people saying it was the greatest finals in wnba history i would agree if it wasnt rigged phee has a ring in my book

The only reason why I watch your is not to have CC shoved down our throats. Not only mentioned her in the beginning but with Sheryl and the Olympics not necessary. What about mentioning the WNBPA statement and how racism/hate/vitriolic rhetoric the women had to endure? Just a suggestion, this is your show do how you see fit. Balance is needed in journalism when discussing growth.

A lot of us are sick of the WNBPA activism. Especially since they stay silent on causes that don't fit their narrative,v such as Dearica Hamby and the Seattle Storm investigation.
