Evergoods - Figure This Out. Really great design on most of your products (this one is a little meh to be honest) but same dangly straps as a dollar store bag. That’s crazy. Look at other bags from Kriega, Topo, or any number of others, or just invent something better, but either way, do straps better.

I ride motorcycles, it is my ONLY form of transportation ( except for those Uber nights lol) so when E/G released the Element drop in and teased that they were going to be experimenting with seam welding I was so so excited. I have a few bags made by Moto companies that are extremely Water resistant even a water proof bag, but they are not inherently bag makers so wile they might be super water resistant they are not super comfortable. ( !!! With the exception of Velomacchi they are fantastically water resistant and really comfortable !!! ) But sadly, they are no longer around. so I have been waiting for this. Cannot wait to try it out. I will also be eagerly waiting to see where the Elements line goes.

I love how passionately Kevin always talks about the products in these presentation videos. You can tell he's put a lot of work into them and is happy/proud to be showing them to everyone. This is not the bag for me, but it looks great for those who need the extra weather resistance. And it seems to bring some materials/construction innovation, at least to the EDC bag world.

This is Evergoods's version of Granville from Arc'teryx but with great improvements! Love it.

$350 must be out of your minds. Use a £50 backpack. Get a trash compactor bag, put the stuff you want to keep dry into the trash compactor bag, put it in the backpack. It's old school, but it works and costs about 1/350th.. 🤪😂

I find it interesting that EG is going on this journey of attempting this design and construction, which was pretty much perfected in the Bellroy Apex. There's problems that is inherent in this top opening design and Bellroy chose a different set of compromises and EG is choosing another set of compromises. I'm used to how Bellroy approached to solve the problem and it seems more elegant than what EG has come up with, but I respect the hustle.

Odd place to put a key leash. Seems very impractical to get to on the fly
@frankboyer1490Күн бұрын
The priority is waterproofness which means that quick access will be different than on bags that are simply water resistant. I wouldn't call it impractical. Lift flap, unzip pocket, done.

@@frankboyer1490 seeing how big the flap is; I can sort of see it getting in the way. especially if youre one to leave your keys on the leash to access the key hole

First the lame briefcase bag and now this monstrosity. For a company that's usually on point, that's two misses in a row.

"Not a lot of openings..." ignores the massive unsealed magnetic flap that will probably let lots of water in during a "watershed" storm. Unbelievable.

Every single drybag becomes waterproof, just by being folded over. Same principle applies here. Of course it's not to the same extent, cause it only has one fold, but then again this is also not advertised as submersible. And I've never known EG bags to not deliver what they promise...
@afiq980Күн бұрын
It would be unreasonable to think that they did not thought and tested that out 😅

If you watch the why they made it video, they talk about they can make it more waterproof but they are trying to strike a balance between accesbility and weather resistance

Man, someone doesnt understand nuance or design. I tell you what the solution for you is- gather your things and we electroweld them inside a ball of rubber. Boom. Fully waterproof bag for ya, ol' chap!
