I'm really enjoying season 3! They definitely diverge from the books a bit but I don't mind that in adaptations, as long as its still a good story!

I loved Burial Rites. Was one of my favorite reads of last year. I bought it a long time ago and then heard Ell talk about it. I was like, oh yeah, I have that book 😂😂

Hearing your thoughts on Elantris made me really glad that I chose it as my first Cosmere read. I absolutely loved it so I’m hoping that I’ll love the rest as much, if not more. Black Sun sounds so interesting but I don’t deal with abrupt endings well so thanks for the warning! I’ll have to wait for at least the second book before I start this series.

I loved Elantris. It was my first Sanderson and it was so good. I also had Black Sun on my wishlist, but I might hold off at least until book 2 is out.

I'm really looking forward to reading Black Sun! I've heard nothing but great things about that book since it came out, and hearing everything you had to say about it just made me get more excited for it. I also definitely want to check out Elantris soon! I've only read the first Mistborn trilogy from Brandon Sanderson, so I think I'll probably tackle this one next.

The execution of Agnes took place only about 20 min from where I grew up. At the National Museum you can see the axe that was used nearly 200 years ago.

I just read leviathan wakes for the first time ever recently and really enjoyed it! Idk if I'll be able to read the whole series before the new book comes out but I'm going to try. Good to hear that you gave black sun 5 stars because it's a book that's on my tbr shelf! Maybe I'll have to read it closer to when the sequel comes out.

I love hearing your thoughts--thanks! I plan to start the Expanse series this year, and I've enjoyed seeing your reviews as you go. I think I liked Elantris a bit more since it was the second Sanderson book I read. I think it definitely helps to read it early in a Sanderson marathon.

The Expanse series has definitely been on my TBR for awhile and definitely feel like I need to get to that one soon. I'm glad you enjoyed Black Sun even with the cliffhanger ending. I'm not a huge fan of political intrigue but I love the world building so I'm a little more mixed on it so far and really slow in my reading.

Love these wrap ups. Thank you. Cibola Burns is a really good book (rated it 4.5 Stars). Interestingly, I had watched Season 4 BEFORE reading this book, which is the opposite of the other books. I actually liked this book better than Abaddon's Gate (4 Stars), but just by a half star. I gave Leviathan Wakes 4 Stars and Caliban's War 4.5 Stars. I really do love this series. I gave Nemesis Games 4.5 Stars (5 Stars rounded down...first in this series), but gave Babylon's Ashes 3.5 Stars (3 Stars rounded up). Really looking forward to reading Persepolis Rising. I think I will reread Babylon's Ashes, just in case I was in a funky mood when reading it. Elantris is the first Brandon Sanderson book that I read. Also, if I've got my story correct, this is the book that Harriet McDougal read when she had read the Eulogy that Brandon Sanderson wrote about the passing of Robert Jordan. She realized that he understood the world of the Wheel of Time. To the best of my knowledge, the book that she read was Elantris. It wasn't that long after before she reached out to him. EVERYONE is currently reading it. So...it is a long wait. Burial Rites is a really good book, and am currently reading it (and loving it). Oh, I have been really been emotional. I really need to finish this, soon. Oh, yeah...when you are reading the book, you definitely feel the feels of the land. I do hear that Iceland is beautiful. Maybe it is just a great place to visit, but not a place that you'd want to live at. Good to hear, that you enjoyed the second half of the book was better than the first, then I'm in for a great ending...since I am just at the half way point. Thanks for this Wrap Up.

Haha yeah Black Sun is really popular right now and is still a fairly new release, but I hope you get it soon! I'm glad you are enjoying Burial Rites so far, hopefully you can make the book club meeting! I'm sure Iceland is a lovely place to live now, but back in the 1800 it sounds like a difficult place. But who am I kidding, i think living anywhere in the 1800s would be hard haha.

I finished Cibola Burn last week and am excited to pick up book 5 although I'm trying to space the books out. I still need to finish season 4 of the show. I'm hoping that I enjoy Black Sun once I eventually read it; I read Trail of Lightning last March and it was almost a DNF as I don't enjoy very many urban fantasies.

I'm so excited for the next expanse book but I have to put it off for awhile because I have so many other things I want to read LOL. I'm still on season 3 of the show haha. Yeah, I didn't enjoy Trail of Lightning nearly as much as Black sun!

I'm currently reading Elantris and I'm almost through with it. I had high expectations because it's *Sanderson* and that's why I wasn't blown away. I just expected more fantasy and magic I guess. But I'm excited to read more from him (this is my first Fantasy book by him).
