Yes, the Expanse books are so bingeable and very action-y so they read very fast. Black Sun was so good! Can't wait for the sequel, it ended in such a tense way.

Agreed, the Expanse books are fast reads even though they are chunky! Ughhh i'm dying for the sequel to Black Sun. Hopefully we get a release date to put on our calendars soon LOL

I'm starting SA in May! Rythm of War being your favorite book you've read in Winter definitely hypes the series up even more. 🙈 Black Sun has been on my wishlist for a while now, maybe I should give it a try soon.

I really enjoyed Elantris as well. A lot of people don't enjoy it as much but I really liked it. I want to start The Expanse series as well.

Yeah Elantris can be hit or miss with people. I think expectation has a lot to do with it really. Yay expanse! I hope you enjoy it!

Elantris definitely feels like a beginner fantasy book! Black Sun was in my top five reads of last year, I loved it so much. I enjoyed Rhythm of War, and definitely liked it more than Oathbringer... but it’s not my favorite? Words of Radiance feels really hard to top for me. I did love the mental health rep though!

I quite enjoyed Elantris when I read it. I liked it even more than Warbreaker. You've hyped me for book three in the Expanse series (I just hope I remember enough from the first two to just jump straight into book 3). My favourite reads of this past winter were definitely The Bear and the Nightingale and The Burning God.

Oooh i don't feel like I hear that often, enjoying Elantris more than Warbreaker! I need to read Warbreaker, I want to know what I think too! I also need to read The Beart and the Nightingale and The Burning God (well I haven't started that series so I need to read the poppy war technically haha). I feel like the Expanse books are fairly episodic so I think you'll be ok??

@@BedtimeBookworm Somehow I couldn't connect with the main character in Warbreaker :-/ I did read the Mistborn trilogy before Elantris. Have you heard that Sanderson will start writing a new Mistborn trilogy after completing book 5 in the Stormlight Archives?

From your list I've read Cibola Burn (you're actually the one who inspired me to read the Expanse series) and I plan to read Oathbringer later this year and Rhythm of War next year. My favorite reads from winter are Thorn by Intisar Khanani and The Angel of the Crows by Katherine Addison.
