I read about 10 books but that’s because I finished War and Peace this month. It took two months but it was so worth it!

I had a really strong February! Say Nothing, Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries, Tress of the Emerald Sea, and Georgie All Along were all 5 star reads for me; and Bet On It, Origin: A Genetic History of the Americas, and The Loneliest Girl in the Universe were 4 stars. I picked up a couple of KU romances that didn't cut it for me, but I'm hoping I can keep the momentum through March.

im so curious about how youre finding TMI!! I started with TID and really loved it so I wanted more from the shadow hunter world, so I went in for city of bones next. unfortunately, I couldn't even get past the 1st book :( I'm not sure if I should give TMI another try at this point

I’ve been meaning to get back into this world! I read TMI and enjoyed it. I have the third book in The Infernal Devices to read. I’ll definitely look out for The Dark Artifices and the new series that is out.

I absolutely LOVED both Justice of Kings and Tyranny of Faith, it is such an underrated series, maybe it's the lawyer in me, but the combination of politics, law and fantasy is so well done!

I read The Smell Of Other People's Houses a few years back and loved it. I'm planning on a re-read this year to see if it still holds up. Last year I listened to the author's Everyone Dies Famous In A Small Town and it was great. It has short stories that have sometimes have small moments of interconnection. It is different from 'The Smell Of.." but I really enjoyed it and I say that as someone who doesn't really love short stories.

Thank you for recommending The Smell of Other People's Houses--I grew up in Alaska (though in the 90s!) and that sounds right up my alley! I've never heard of it before. Hope Tyranny of Faith sticks the landing for you, I'm about halfway through myself!!

Hey! Some people got disappointed with the Cassie Clare book. Haven't read yet though but I'm looking forward to it still. Thanks for the recommendations! Last month I read 7 books and out of those, my favorites' ones were Sweet Bean Past, Playing Nice, Before the Coffee Gets Cold and Everyone in this room someday will be dead.

I only read 2 books this month, which is unheard of for me (I usually at least get in 5 or 6): Chain of Iron and Chain of Thorns--and I share your thoughts on Chain of Thorns. From what I heard, the next trilogy is Wicked Powers, and I think it's about Ty and Kit. She still has the last Eldest Curses book to write, too. I started the Bloomsberry Handbook of Japanese religion. One of the reasons I only read 2 books was because I wanted to knock out my manga TBR, so I read a lot of manga.

I stopped reading Cassandra Clare somewhere at the end of the first series as her writing was too chaotic and weak for me then. (Also not a fan of the main pairing there.) Is it worth it to come back to the later books?

Mortal instruments is her weakest set, in most opinions. Infernal devices is amazing and would be well worth the read. You could start there if you want. Dark Artifices is also a very strong trilogy, in my opinion.

I dnf’d chain of thorns at 66%. I’m noticing that cassandra clare has a problem with continuity and completely disregarded the clockwork princess epilogue. also, could care less about the main characters and didn’t like any of the relationships and I don’t think there was enough of the characters from the infernal devices either.

@@surpriseitsus9622 I am not trying to be a negative Nancy, it’s just that I like to find out about most things as I read the story. I watched enough of the video to see that it passed my personal limit…which I know may not be the same for others. I like her personality so much that I wish I could continue.
