I just completed my online DMV Cal Driver's lIc renewal, which included updating my voter registration, and I completed my jury summons registration. It is stated on both of these online applications, that any person indicted, convicted of a felony or serving a prison sentence is 100% prohibited to vote or serve on a jury. Why is it then that a person who is indicted, convicted of a felony or who is serving a prison sentence can run for POTUS and serve as POTUS? Is this logical? I am requesting that a new federal and state law be enacted that explicitly prohibits all persons who are convicted of a felon or who are a felon serving prison time from the ability to run for high office or to serve as President of the United Sates. I'm an Aussie and I am also plain exhausted. I remember where I was, watching in disbelief as trump was announced the winner of the 2016 election and how relieved I was when he failed to win in 2020. I just completed my online DMV Cal Driver's lIc renewal, which included updating my voter registration, and I completed my jury summons registration. It is stated on both of these online applications, that any person indicted, convicted of a felony or serving a prison sentence is 100% prohibited to vote or serve on a jury. Why is it then that a person who is indicted, convicted of a felony or who is serving a prison sentence can run for POTUS and serve as POTUS? Is this logical? I am requesting that a new federal and state law be enacted that explicitly prohibits all persons who are convicted of a felon or who are a felon serving prison time from the ability to run for high office or to serve as President of the United Sates.
