Unbelievable depth of knowledge. I'm just here as a gym bro trying to understand glycogen depletion.

I'm not a DR I'M not suggesting this is a treatment or anything other then self poisoning to heal not die.

Proves beyond any doubt that the body only requires about 5g of glucose at any given time throughout our lives. Humans consume 50 to 70 times that amount daily in total conservatively speaking. Why? when carbs are all non essential? Let our body make it's own glucose, which it does perfectly through gluconeogenesis and instead consume fats and proteins so we rely on ketones instead. Our preferred fuel source. Dr T thinks glucose is our preferred fuel. Please cite a single study clearly showing the human brain preferring glucose over ketones. Ketones are more efficient and use less oxygen resulting in less ROS produced and ultimately less oxidative stress. ketones can bypass the metabolic deficits associated with alzheimers disease and other neurological conditions and provide an alternative energy source, potentially improving cognitive function and reducing symptoms. Pre humans and human up until the agricultural revolution primarily ate meat and the associated fat of mainly large ruminants for 4 mill years. The carnivore diet is our most species appropriate and species specific diet.
