I think the reason tennis matches on tv are shown at the birds-eye view is because there is a sense of an all-seeing perspective, especially when they zoom in on the player's facial expression. I agree with you, I still would rather watch from this perspective.

And they say his backhand isn't good. Look how many incredible down the line backhand winners he produces, it's incredible how much better that shot has gotten since 2003-2004.

Honestly his backhand had always been a weapon on offense. Just easy to attack
@Djflow82411 жыл бұрын
So effortless.
@slerk911 жыл бұрын
It might be because though this video is filmed at 30 or 24 FPS, the shutter speed is really high- you don't see the ball as a blur, and shutter speed is probably around 1/500 sec..
@nikshill8767 Жыл бұрын
1:46 is amazing. in general it looks like federer is hitting downhill or as if he is on a raised platform hitting down at fish. trajectory of RF's shots is mercilessly unforgiving.

I'm a big Federer fan but you're absolutely right! Nadal's spin and re-direction once his ball bounces gives Fed fits!!!!! It's a disgusting ball that Nadal hits! Novak takes it way early so he doesn't deal with that nastiness. Federer is so great to watch though!!!!!
@AS-js7kb6 жыл бұрын
It's Nadal and Djokovic's movement which separates them from the rest.

@chrisclark53048 жыл бұрын

@NoelAndres1711 жыл бұрын
Nadal's ball is hit with more topspin than Fish. Nadal puts about 3000+ RPM on the ball, as high as 4500 RPM. That makes his ball get very high on Roger's backhand. It is way harder to hit a one handed backhand when the ball is accelerating after hitting the ground PLUS getting super high on you. Federer does best with players that hit flat to his backhand, like Fish for example, Davydenko, even Djokovic to some extent. Tennis is a game of matchups and the Nadal matchup is kryptonite for Fed.

@TheFlydeagle22811 жыл бұрын
Fish's play looks damn awkward compared to feds play. Fed is so smooth n fluid. He floats in the air.
@polychronio12 жыл бұрын
wish roger improve a little more of his backhand which compensate his lesser serve than before.

Why do the Feds fans always insult other players on tour. They have no respect to the other tennis players. How rude.
@Dark_Voice11 жыл бұрын
I guess this was before the match with Wawrinka. With Nadal Federer had a health problem. I think here he didn't.
@1986billyk11 жыл бұрын
mainly cause rafa will run down so many shots and hit such crazy angles it doesn't matter if roger hits prettier shots.the relentlessness of rafas game will wear anybody down..even himself (injuries).roger has to be that much better attacking rafa to win or its gonna be a long day for fed...and fed supposedly had back problems at indian wells..though its never an excuse once you're out there.

@MegaUnavailableusern11 жыл бұрын
yeah but generally all you need to do is play like this and you develop all of that
@MrSiriuscris11 жыл бұрын
It is simple, because of Nadal's baggy whip the ball goes too high for Federer to hit it back with his one-handed backhand Everyone knows Fedrerer's weakness is his backhand and Nadal is one of the few who can push Federer to hit the ball with his backhand most of the times.
@MrSiriuscris11 жыл бұрын
It is not that easy, it entails a lot of coordination with your feet and hand. Imagine when on the other side of the net someone hits the ball very fast

tension isn't a biggie and i think most collegiate experiments could prove that. As long as you're 55lbs and above i think you're good. Not to mention the old theory that very high tensions of 70+ increase spin and control is bs; at that point all you get is less power to keep em in. Hell, i'm fine with 50lbs down from 60 after 2 months of bashing generally.
@MeAkouTube11 жыл бұрын
