21:59 If you'll watch Fedor's second fight with Kosaka you will notice that throughout the fight Fedor uses his right hand less and less as the fight goes on. If you watch closely you'll notice that after the first knockdown, all Fedor's heavy blows were delivered with his left hand. Later in June of this year Fedor won Russian championship in sambo. If you'll watch his fights there, again, you'll will notice that he almost never used his right hand. The was a simple reason for that - his right thumb was broken. The doctors told him that he had to undergo a surgery to clean broken pieces of the bone and let his thumb heal. But that would put him out of action for at least 6 months, and ultimately he decide not to. Fedor fought Crocop with a broken thumb on his right hand.

Fedor kinda admitted it back in the days when he was asked why he didn't go for submissions against Cro Cop, he explained that he couldn't because he had no grip strenght due to a hand injury

The Last Emperor... probably the scariest guy I've ever seen fight. The only guy I was legitimately afraid for his opponent when he fought. He hit you with so much power its like his fists are made of granite.. he just slices right through you. Combined with his Judo/Sambo game he was unstoppable. He's still fighting today at like 47 years old

Yeah Bellator loves snagging 35+ year old legends and throwing them in the ring and seeing who can still throw down. Bellator needs to invent a time machine because if they could get some of these fights 10-15 years earlier they'd be bigger than the UFC. I like how he ends some combos with a takedown! Instead of using a combo to set up a shot or something. While his opponent is trying to block or evade strikes, Fedor is already in range to just throw them however he wants. These are some of the smoothest transitions into grappling from a striking combo that I have seen, and it's done with 110% aggression.

The fast twitch explosions of violence and athleticism on this guy is incredible. Sambo is at the top of the list for most applicable arts in mma. Doesn’t garner a lot of attention in the west but if you look closely at Islam M, khabib and fedor they all heavily rely on sambo tactics in their fights. The ground and pound on fedor is phenomenal.
