8/28/2024 @ 2:41 = You are a very good teacher. Yes for real! Your dinner was so appetizing. One thing I have to comment about though, you need some bigger pots :) Ha ha ha. Love the explanations and techniques. Be blessed. Oh...music is so comforting and easy on the ears. :)

The rice was perfect. Not everyone loves the rice too 'shelly'. Overall everything looked good 👌🏾😋. Loved how the chicken didnt have a ton load of powdered seasonings.

Cutting the chicken through the bone is a REALLY great idea for so many recipes. I can't believe I've never done that before. Like duh lol. Thank your mom for me 😊

Also, your internal feedback going through the brown stew chicken was super insightful. I feel it made for a more educational experience than simply doing it over perfectly, thanks for that

Beautiful presented plate of Sunday dinner the rice looks perfect to me. I usually joint my chicken and cut up the two breast in eight pieces. I also brown my sugar then fry the pieces of chicken pour off the oil then put it all back into the pan add the marinade rinse the bowl with some boiling hot water pour it into the pan and cover later on add fresh seasoning with a bit more hot water until its done. Thanks for another great tutorial. One love 💙 ❤️ 🇯🇲 💯

Bredrin my whole family does the pieces not bone in cubes. And imho its tastes much much better when cooked in big pieces. We would cut the breast and make something else but the dark parts are defintely for browning.

The way you did this chicken my grandmother called it stew chicken. When she cut the chicken pieces larger and fry them then cook them down in a gravy she called that brown stew chicken. I'm confused 😕

Use a spoon for coconut I never thought of using so much ingredients in rice and pease
@lorin805 ай бұрын
Ah man, almost great. But wasn't it too oily? Was like WOW! lol And why not caramelize the sugar longer- the longer you burn it the darker it gets and the browner the chicken gets. Thats what the Trini's do. But the finished product did you look good. So im inclined to give it a go. As for the rice and peas- how about measuring out the liquid to match the cups of rice? You can strain the liquid, measure out the cups and pour it back in the pot- thereby never have too wet of a rice. The left over liquid can always be frozen for next Sunday dinner.
