My brother, My wife, a native of JAMAICA , Manchester, was unfamiliar with this particular brown stew chicken recipe and questioned its authenticity. I assured her that variations exist, citing my own experiences with similar preparations during my travels. After the meal, the overwhelmingly positive aroma and my wife's enthusiastic consumption-marked by audible chewing-confirmed the dish's success, prompting her to express regret at not having encountered this version earlier in her life. Point is. This is the only way she wants her stew made lol great video thanks for the help in the kitchen. Also anyone reading this it goes really well with homemade rice and peas and fried bread dumping to soak up the sauce .
@feedandteachАй бұрын
Damn! That sounds great! As small as Jamaica is we still prepare the same foods a wide variety of ways, lol you will see a lot of Jamaicans telling me that I cant cook because that's not how they know a dish is prepared but that's great though! Glad it was good!
@overlanddriven6346Ай бұрын
I understand your point completely. My mother-in-law frequently criticizes my cooking as it differs from her own. And my time being suck there after a major hurricane this past summer, i got to really understand what it means and how hard it is to make everyone happy. When it comes to cooking Regardless, happy holidays, and thank you for the video. I eagerly anticipate your future videos,

Insane that tomatoes cost more than chicken! Also insane that commercial producers manage to make bottles of browning that don't taste good when it's literally just sugar and water! This dish looks divine - I'm absolutely trying this soon! 👏🏻 👏🏻

Yeah, Hurricane Beryl wiped out a bunch of farms, so it's taking a bit for production to bounce back.

Is it possible to use sweet soy sauce instead of this "browning" substance?
@feedandteach25 күн бұрын
Regular or dark soy sauce is good. Sweet soy sauce will make the dish sweet but if you like it like that then it's fine...👍🏾

Just an idea, would you consider doing something like wine and dine? Basically, it's an event maybe on a weekend afternoon where people pay to come and do cooking classes. You could even limit the amount of people per class or even offer private group lessons. That would be fun. Learn to cook. Eat some food. Drink some wine.

Boss man. Restaurant owner here overseas. You used just salt and pepper to seasoned your chicken. I’m guessing you’re relying solely on the green seasons for flavor.
@feedandteach3 ай бұрын
Green Seasoning, yes, its packed with a ton of flavours, but also the browning the chicken, using homemade browning and sautéing seasonings early add an incredible amount of flavour!

Why did Jamaican add green season to cooking, Browning, and ketchup, sugar disgusting for the non cooks. Someone didn’t know how Jamaican got color on meat and created browning
