If I had to choose just one angler to fish for my life, it would be without question, Steve Ringer. The best of the best!!

Good discussion point Paul ...who would you choose to fish for your life ....I’m a north west guy....a lot of you may not know this guy but I would choose Jimmy Bryne ...canal legend

Great question, have to know the venue and the style, beforehand and some picks may change. Think Tommy Pickering would save alot of lives?🤔

Ringer, Hughes, Raison, Scotthorne, Bennett. Got all my options covered there... I dont want to die!! Haha
@JammyGit2 жыл бұрын
Back in my fishing days I would've picked Bob Nudd, Dave Berrow, Dave Harrell, Alan Scotthorne.....oh, and John Wilson 😆

Been out of fishing for 20 years or so, really enjoyed this. And really like his setup, very useful for someone like me that needs to add to their tackle and not too sure where to start.

Great thanks, Steve! Really enjoyed watching this brilliant session. Gorgeous breams! Mission accomplished! As I could see on previous venue's photos and during this session breams' color at the same swim varies pretty much from pale silver to golden and even dark bronze. What is the reason for that in your opinion?

What rod does steve use for baiting up? Will a soft style carp rod do the trick?
@TackleguruTV3 жыл бұрын
Hi Stuart, soft carp rods are perfect for baiting up, as you tend to be chucking 3-4oz of bait when using bait up feeders. Helps massively as to getting the distance👍

00:54 - What's going on here with wafting the rod and line like this? I've seen a couple of anglers do this, and although it looks like some strange ninja shit, I'm sure it is something else that has passed me by in the 25 years I've been out of the fishing scene. One thing hasn't changed though in those 25 years....Ringer's name is still probably all over the Angling Times 😆 Fishing has changed a hell of a lot and if I walked into a tackle shop now, I wouldn't have a clue about all that new fangled stuff 👍

I've feeder fished for nearly 30yrs now sat next to an old Dutchman taught me some good ideas, but thought I'd try some modern stuff from Guru wished i hadn't .. i.e. Pulse Line 8lb twizzled and twisted up lost its colour went almost white,, exchange feeders stand upright as i put one in the margin where i could see it tried a few things but it wouldn't lay flat isn't that the idea of a feeders,, and your super tight line stops do slide up and down yes on pulse line 8lb so some of your feeder tackle has been field test yesterday i lost two hours ,, i respooled with Daiwa senior line in 4lb ,, put my old Drennan grip mesh feeder on 25g on and started to catch but i missed the early morning fish feeding .. disappointed to say the least.. as for guru rods well i cannot afford one but still use the rod that the Dutchman gave ,,I've loads of ideas i even go to sleep with regarding feeder fishing.
