Thanks, As Clydesdale Horses ( as well as Shetland Ponies + Highland Cattle, didn't want to leave any1 out or offend any1) are a HUGE symbolism of Scotland 🏴, I can't thank or praise you + Ur lovely family high enough for rescuing this Beautiful Big Gentle Giant !! I don't understand the point of owning these Beautiful ( or any other Horses 4 that matter) Gentle + Loyal Horses that will love you + work for you till they physically can't do it anymore, in the appalling conditions that you rescued Oliver from?? + I was so pleased to hear in 1 of your follow up videos that the authorities are now aware of the downright criminal treatment that their Horses are having to endure! I think most of people living in the USA these days tend to associate Clydesdale's with the Budweiser Brand due to the amazing teams they have pulling the large Budweiser Wagons but as you probably already know their Origin + Heritage lies right here in Scotland ? I've watched the behind the scenes videos of the Budweiser Stables + their Breeding Facilities + they treat + care 4 their Clydesdales like Royalty , and although I'm mayb a bit bias towards them, I think its exactly how they "should" be treated unless they are "lucky" enough to find themselves with a Beautiful, loving family like yourselves, living in a Beautiful place with stunning scenery all around them as well as some beautiful new friends . Oliver ( unless you'd like to choose another name 4 Oliver more associated with Scotland? ie; mayb the name of 1 of Our beautiful Glen's like,Glen Coe in Lochaber (prob the most famous of all our too many to mention Glens ) or 1 of Our beautiful Isles ( islands) Arran, Skye, Orkney , we actually have over 700 Isles off the Scottish coastline , 1 in particular, Mull has by far the best named + most beautiful capital / port of all ( in my humble opinion) "TOBERMORY", which translates to Well of Mary . You could even shorten it to " Toby" ? Google Mull then Google Tobermory ,Scotland + have a look. The beautiful Highland Cattle are free to roam on Mull + believe it or not, they even have right of way on the roads , we've encountered them everytime we've been there, with their abs adorable calves ,that act look more like Teddy Bears than calves + every time we've had to pull off the ( tiny) road + the Cattle continue to walk down the centre of the road! Ha ha + then + "only " then can you pull out back on2 the road + continue on..I enjoyed your channel b4 U managed to rescue Oliver but now I actually can't wait to see ur latest uploads. Thanx again for doing this wonderful thing+ changing Oliver's life forever. But I'd be willing 2 bet that Oliver won't be the last soul that you + you're family will save. Love Kat, Glasgow ,Scotland 🏴 ❣️❣️

Oliver had that fight in him and its really paying off for him now. He has a home thats comfortable and all kinds of people that care. Something I did for weighing hay (and tack, as well as feed) was I bought a 400lb limit hanging digital scale. First I hang the bucket I'm dumping the scoops of feed into and reset the scale to zero so the weight of the bucket doesn't get added to the feed weight, and go from there. It's been pretty accurate, and I can hang it in the barn or in my bedroom doorway, in the case of my feed, since my feed barrels are in the livingroom lol. For my guys, they get free choice grass hay in round bales (the two Thoroughbreds get their round bales put in HayChix nets because otherwise, they massacre their bales and waste the majority. The saddlebred/saddlebred cross is a tidy eater, so never needs one lol), beet pulp pellets, Albers Special 6, Alfalfa Pellets, and Omolene 400, all soaked in hot water for an hour. Old lady Kate chokes if her feed's not soaked up, so they may as well all get soaked food. I'd love to add orchard hay and flake alfalfa, but money.
