I recommend hiking in nature as much as possible. That has the same effect as meditating. You are alone, you don't have to think or you can think without getting disturbed, you can see wild animals, you will connect with that inner voice.

@@tashzi6746 I guess that Wim Hof his breathing exercise and cold showers also are a form of meditation. With a cold shower you pretty much can't do anything but being focused on here and now. Meditating is not really possible where I live, too many people making noise.

@TheNativeTwo 2 жыл бұрын
@@peterjansen4826 Meditation need not be quiet. Its about focus. Focus enough and your mind expands. You become the watcher, a passive observer of your mind. You watch as thoughts and feelings go by. Start with deep focus to hone your focus skill. 15 mins a day. then once a week do a longer 1 hour to 4 hours. You can choose anything for the object of your deep focus. Breath. The feeling of the palms of your hands. The sounds all around you. If a thought comes into your mind, as soon as you realize you are focusing on the thought, dismiss it, and reorient your focus back on the object of your deep focus. Same with anything else that disrupts your focus. Don't worry about having this happen. Its part of it. Sometimes the disruptions will be constant, and sometimes you will be very peaceful. Accept either state. Then when you've developed deep focus enough, maybe after a few months, start bringing your entire being into focus. Instead of focusing on one thing, have deep focus of everything all at once. The sounds around you, the feelings in your body, the thoughts in your head. This experience can be quite transformative.

Just want to say my daughter has autism, chronic anxiety and DID. When she was feeling suicidal last year rang and spoke to a doctor, who told her that did she not know there was a pandemic going on which was more important. I rang the surgery back and complained they told me another doctor would ring in 2 days. Well they didn't ring. So I took time off work to help her. Seriously even now we are fighting to get help for my daughter.

I have had the worst anxiety attacks ever over the last several weeks. The mainstream media has led me into an overwhelming sense of dread, and horror I never knew existed. It has made me physically sick to the point I was contemplating calling for an ambulance! My mind swirls with conspiracies of what is to come and how little control over it I believe that I have. These few moments of meditation as well as recent, low-impact exercise have shown me that there is another way to take control of my own thoughts and feelings. There is only a certain amount of control we have over anything external to our lives, and most of it is not worth making ourselves ill over, believe me. If we allow ourselves to be mentally defeated, then they win. If we can take control of our emotions, then it will give us the strength and courage to face the demons working against us. In other words. Don't let the bar stewards grind you down!

Yep, had a news junkie friend say the same and i suggested she turn it off completely. News is designed to horrify you and make you feel outraged and powerless. It is another form of addiction, truly. Garbage in = Garbage out. She stopped watching and after a few weeks feels SO much better, WAY less anxious, more hopeful, free. Try it and see.

Don’t watch the news it doesn’t exist to benefit you or me. Turn it off, delete the apps from your phone, you do not need the information they provide, it is simply propaganda that is designed to control behaviour and most importantly funnel your hard earned money from you. Take care of yourself and open your mind to the fact that media doesn’t have any facts of any kind just a paradigm to put you in the place you have found yourself. Peace

Hey Russell thankyou sooo much I love you very deeply Russell I highly Respect you I trust you I am so grateful for everything that you I love your medaiton I began doing your medaiton for the first time that I ever did any medaiton was yours Russell was in 2020 lockdown in australia iam 25 I have been on a self healing journey from my experience of domestic violence from my father and his wife iam five years out of that and watching and listening to your recovery journey and doing your medaiton every night has been deeply profound and beautiful and very powerful for me I only tried it once and then I found that I needed it and now I do it every night thankyou Russell I needed this today I have a anxiety disorder and masked depression and I struggle with negative thoughts your Medaitons Russell has taught me that healing is possible surrendering the past is possible and It gives me a Way to Spritually connect to my grandpa who died in 2018 I always ask my grandpas Sprit to be with me while I do the medaiton and this is very grounding for me I do two deep breaths before I start this this helps prepare for the medaiton and I have a photo of my grandpa in front of me when I do the medaiton and I have a teddy bear that my dad gave me when I was little and this reminds me that my inner child needs to feel love for him. And your medaiton Russell has been so powerful for me I have found a online community of DV Survivors and I have been talking to them and trying to raise awareness of this and it does get feel like alot so Russell me doing your medaiton every night is very grounding and beautiful. Thankyou Russell I deeply value and appreciate what you do I hope it is safe for you to come to Perth western Australia for a show one day so I can give you a hug and say Thank you to you in person for how much you and your content and recovery journey and your medaiton has helped me

Loved this very calming meditation ... even though I was interrupted with a rather funny ad about constipation in the middle of it 😂 - gave me a laugh. It's nice seeing the contrast in you Russell from your news videos to these mindfulness ones. You keep us educated and aware about current events, then kindly teach us how to stay calm and not become overwhelmed by all the outside noise that we can't control, helping us learn how to control our thoughts and emotions ... Love your gentle voice Russell, it's incredibly soothing. Keep up the great work! 🌼💌🌼

Thank you, Russell. I truly needed that 🙂 And something of note. I live near a busy highway and when I need relaxation time, I play the Campfire by the River video on KZbin. It has sounds of water, a campfire, and birds. It's very pleasant, relaxing, and masks a bit of the traffic noise. This video was playing in the background as I meditated during your video. So, when you spoke of background noise during the meditation, the two predominant sounds I was hearing were the birds from the campfire video and my neighborhood traffic. And these were the very two background sounds you mentioned. For whatever reason, that made me cry a little in that moment. Good tears, however. Also, when I finished the video, it just so happened to be at 11:11 😌 Again thank you and have a blessed day 🙂💕

Thank you Russell. I was raised Christian. At 19 I was, "Born Again". I became overly dogmatic and judgmental and I think, truly wanting to love, I started questioning the teachings of the bible, my church and the religion of Christianity. Not Christ, but dogmatic religion. I could NOT get it to jive with science or love at times. I decide to put my faith in truth and Love and to let things fall where they may. I'm learning to be happy saying things like, "I don't know the answer to that" or, "I'm not positive where I will go after death". This comes with it's own series of challenges but it feels honest and better than saying, "I'm right and you're wrong". It is truly enlightening to hear you speak and to sense that you aren't after the political lean or the dogmatic "truth". I sense you are more interested in just searching for what will ultimately bring us all together and help us to love each other despite our selves. Thanks for reading this and for you being you... a very important part of the whole.

So, this was my first time trying meditation seriously. THANK YOU! Long story short, I've been in 2 motor vehicle accidents within the past 10 years. The one 4 years ago was a rollover and I pinched a nerve in my left shoulder area. The other accident was nearly fatal, like VERY near... but I have a lot of pain from injuries. Anyways, I found myself feeling the actual injuries and a lot of the resulting pain seemed to ease up. (Example: back injury causes nerve pain in my legs) I'm going to take this a little farther and see what meditation can do for me.

First I'm Lacies husband, mental health is huge n looked down upon from certaint entities of people's. Russell I appreciate you from your roots until this day, I am so thankful for your giving, your honest to your viewers and to yourself. It's the way when your addicted to prescription meds, I say addicted because the meds I'm on I'm dependent on. I just listen to your podcast show that was about Big Pharma n so on . The videos and your options n facts that you tell reading from a card or screen. Makes me want off my meds my anxiety, recovering Herione addict that takes suboxone but has been a huge crutch for 7/8 years of being good but the light that I pulled in on the frustration n anger from our government officials n others in diff vicinity take donations from the pharma kind of puppet into pueopetteer the poor have gotten poorer, n the right got 50% of their net value in profit . America has a high price on there medications n if you have no insurance it's just worst. WHY do I feel that the CONSTITUTION of United States of America. Bill of rights. These are the written foundation of America and it becoming a great to not great country is being purposely making poorer poor n making rich richer by using the people. Pledge of allegiance taken out of schools.....Oboma ministration... smh...The government is working for the people. Not the people are ruled by the government. God watches everything so all the 1% n others apart I hope God reaches you touches you opens your eyes to what your committing.lost in a ramble. If you read this thanks if not alot off my chest. Thanks Russell!!!!!
