Wasim Zahid thank you for watching mate :) Face detection is the camera job. The monitor is just a mirror of the camera screen.

Oma Ghomrawi I think face detection AF does not work in 4k if you connect an external monitor. Unless you also have external recording, in that case it will work. But if you have an external monitor and internal recording, it won't work. Explained here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX3RaZp3fK2les0

I watched the video and jumped to my camera to double check! I've been using a7 iii with external monitor for a long time a didn't notice this at all. Eventually this is a camera bug whatever monitor you use.

Well, regardless the monitor brand / model, the a7iii camera screen turns black when the camera set to 4k and connected to an external monitor. The same problem does not exist in 1080 resolution :)

Thank you for the video! I will definitely look up this product - looks very useful and promising. But Can I be frank? Sorry if I am too direct but I would like to learn and understand: why are you green? The green tinge in every scene you are in... To me it looks like A7RIV in high ISO setting, and there is grain at 1:20-1:26. Again, I love your videos, have been watching you for a year now and just need to learn and understand.

JustDavidMinistries is well to be honest the monitor built well, have great image quality but make sure to change the monitor white balance to 9600K. When the camera is on SLOG for example, the monitor slog preset will show you the normal colors instead. No built in preset for hlg, but you’re totally fine if you find an HLG LUT PRESET (.cube) and install it to the monitor.

JustDavidMinistries however Im really happy with the monitor. I used it outdoors in daylight. But it’s not the brightest monitor in the market. You have to put the sunshade if you’re filming in direct sunlight. The f6 plus has 500 nits brightness, while feelworld 7 inch fw279 has 2200 nits brightness.

Honestly both monitors need slight adjustments. After adjustments, Portkeys becomes closer.

What camera are you using ? In general, All Sony mirrorless cameras screen turns off when a monitor is connected and the camera set to 4K. Same problem with all other monitors.
