If you want to test motor noise why would you be at the beach . Should be a a quiet room so you can hear the noise not the waves.

It just happened to be where I was when filming this. You have to keep in mind that all gimbals no matter what brand will give off motor vibration noise that a gopros Very sensitive microphones will pick up will pick up in a perfectly quiet situation. However most of the time when filming there is Ambient background noise and to me it’s a good test to see if the motor noise vibration is still prominent when there’s other things going on.

nice video, as usual. I've been using a Removu K1 for over a year and I dropped it in the ocean while traveling in Colombia. Since the Osmo pocket was released there hasn't been a peep out of Removu. It's like they are folding up shop. I decided to switch to the GoPro. Now I'm learning that even though the image stabilization is great on 7 black, it's hard to keep the horizon straight. I really want to go back to using a gimbal. 6 or 6 plus-tough decision.

Can you create a video of hooking up the G6 to a GoPro Hero 6? I have been trying for over 2 months and cannot get it to work. The camera will not connect to the gimbal to allow the gimbal controls to work with the GoPro.

The smaller G6 comes with wireless GoPro controls built in, so that alone wins for me. Also the smaller the better now with hypersmooth options that combined with a gimbal makes it look so effortlessly.

I have G6 PLUS. This piece of gear has made me love my job even more. Battery life is superb, very easy to use and even easier to calibrate once you get the list of how its axis work.

May see about the Plus, mostly since I want to have one gimbal for multiple cameras, planning on getting the Weeview SID 3D camera and looks like it will sit on the Plus just fine. Motor noise wouldn't be an issue for me since it will be used mostly as B-roll footage.

You have great videos. Much appreciated. If I could make one recommendation, it would be that when you are providing commentary, that you raise your recording level volume. Your voice has a tendency to lower and raise throughout your commentary. I find that I'm having to lower and raise the volume to hear and understand you.

I really hope someone can reply on this one. I want to buy the G6Plus but there is no official way to charge your GoPro / Osmo Action while filming. Is it possible though to plug a cable in the charging port of the gimbal and the other end in the camera and charge this way?

I think it would only make sense to get G6 plus if you are going to use bigger cameras with the gimbal also.

Was this done at the same time, and same time of day? Why is the G6 plus much brighter? Clearly, this test is about the gimbal not the action camera. Any reason why G6 footage is darker than the G6+?

I just purchased the G6 and noticed when I place my Hero 6 with lens away from motor then tilt it so camera faces up with joystick I get lots of vibration. If I place the Hero 6 with lens next to camera motor no vibration. I did balance it after each time too. I don't know if I should exchange it or all of them like this?

Please make a video of all possible ways rather than an external mic to reduce G6 noise picked up in the video, like playing with motor setting or whatever ways u think might be helpful. Thanks

You can connect the Hero 5/6 and gimbal through the Feiyu On App so can change camera settings with the gimbal. But I just use voice control directly with the GoPro, no fumbling around.

If I’m not mistaken you can connect the Sony via Wi-Fi to the feiyutech. This allows you to use the record button on the handle to start and stop recording

Adrian Giles You can’t. The G6 is a GoPro exclusive gimbal while the G6 Plus makes it possible to mount all kinds of phones and cameras .

I was pretty disappointed when I found out. Now, I’m more concerned on how well Vicool App works. Most text-based reviews say it’s crap and buggy but nearly everyone reviewing it on KZbin says it works fine with object tracking and all.

Noemi Mariano With the G6, it has a clasp that holds small cameras like GoPros and other similar sized cams. If you have a mirror less cam the size of a GoPro then a G6 is good for you. If not then G6Plus is the better way to go, it I have heard of complaints of hardware and software issues. I was going to get a G6Plus for my phone but I ended up getting a Freefly Movi CR on the second hand market.

Yes, it seemed the Plus did a better job. Without knowing the price though, that could also make a difference. I will stick with my A1000 since I use several different cameras and seems to give me a good bang for the buck.

The main difference is you can mount a larger variety of cameras on the plus version. However if you only film them with a GoPro I recommend sticking with a go pro only gimbal. The plus can be a little overkill

I’m not sure what you’re referring to the gimbal doesn’t have any affect on the camera picture. I do believe what you’re referring to is because a cloud moved over the sun during that section when filming so the image is a little darker

Microphones on both Hero 5 black and Hero 6 are a major problem when using it with a stabilizer. And Gopro does nothing to improve it. FeiyuTech G6 Plus is only interesting if you want to use it with smartphone or camera except Gopro ones.

Just a warning to everyone, DO NOT UPDATE the firmware on these gimbals from Feiyutech, very few people have success with it either doing it through USB or the app it almost always bricks the gimbal. Ask me how I know....

None of them is for phones, the G6 plus is for smaller mirrorless cameras and then G6 for action cameras.
