Hey Buckin', Yeah, the old 394 was a bit hungry, wasn't she? The next time you're in the bunker, I think It would be an interesting video if you show us why a new chain is too aggressive and how you file the chain to calm it down a bit. I sure hope everyone had a great weekend. Welcome to all the new subscribers. Blessings to all & be kind friends.

Love the video Buckin’ watching you videos bring back so many memories for me from my childhood, being in the woods with my dad may it be getting firewood or logging timber for our next construction project some of the fondest memories as a kid are days spent in the woods with my dad.

Threadin' the needle!! Unless the springs on the 394 are all worn out, you could try what Marty Ross suggested...a little spray of graphite lube. I use it for just about anything...great stuff! Lithium grease is also good. Now then...welcome to the new subscribers, Hope you'll find the channel enjoyable :) Be kind and take care..

Right on Buckin!! great example of old stock fallers. You can always tell a faller has been at it a while by their patience in the backcut. Waiting for it to start its fall leaving meat on the high side to swing. Newer fallers tend to rely heavy on just the notch for direction and run through the back cut real quick or bore cut when its not needed. I hope some of the next generation picks up on things by seeing it in action. The trade needs it. My 395 does the same after its been sitting. I used graphite lube last time and those recoil dogs have stayed freed up for a year now. I think because its dry it hangs on better

Buckin’, I found your channel last fall when I bought my first Husky. I have learned a lot about more than saws watching your channel. Your passion has spurred my excitement in McCullochs. I’ve grabbed a hand full of pro mac’s off the streets and the 1st, a pro Mac 55, put a smile on my face and when I heard that muffler for the first time it resonated with my soul. Well 2 mini macs , 3 PM 10-10’s, and a PM 850 later... I’d say Ive been Gulleted (hooked). Thanks for sharing your passion!!! D’Mak from the Sip, where everything is slow but the chain on that Mac :)
